The long wait is over for Gumball 3000 fans around the world as the official route for this year’s has been announced. The 10th anniversary rally will begin in San Francisco on the 9th of August, working its way through the West Coast of North America and stopping in San Deigo and Las Vegas before flying to China in time for the Beijing Olympics just eight days later.

Last year’s rally was canceled due to a car accident involving a Porsche 911 Turbo and a Volkswagen Golf, which led to the untimely death of a passing motorist in Albania. This year’s event should bring back the excitement of the Gumball rally, with an estimated 120 vehicles set to fly aboard three of the world’s largest Antonov Cargo Planes plus a scheduled stop-over in North Korea as part of a global ‘friendship’ initiative.

Participants will once again arrive in a wide array of vehicles to compete in the latest rally. These normally range from Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s to the seemingly out of place Volkswagen Kombi Van. Nonetheless, with an entry fee of £60k per car - which includes everything throughout the eight day trek apart from any fines - the event is sure to make everyone turn their heads, especially local police authorities.

After last years fiasco I don't blame them for taking the race to the other side of the Atlantic where they are not aware of what went down last year.

Wonder how the public will react tho, knowing what happened last year. Surely they need to tame it down a little bit, cant have a repeat of what happened last year happening again.

Not a very positive mockup there. But at the sametime it's understandable since the Gumball 3000 rally is technically just a parade for the rich ones to play around on public roads.

Help guys,I want to know when and where(particular place)will they be gathering in beijing?
