The GT Junior, as we called it here in South Africa, is a legend. So beautiful. My brother had a 1600 that he upgraded to the 2000 engine.

Hadn't really thought of comparing it to a CSL, since they are in different classes, but I have to say the Alfa is prettier.

Harry Metcalfe is a great journalist.

A very good friend of mine from my university student days in Munich owned a red 2000 GTV back in the mid-1970s'. Very cool car.

Hi boet nice to read about another South African who has had fond memories of this legendary Alfa. I had a friend in Technikon who used to bring his fathers 1600 GT to classes. It was a light sky blue metallic colour, really beautiful car. What really took my breath away was the wonderful sound of its twin cam engine. For those days it was really fast for a 1600 and would give many more bigger engined cars a fright at the traffic light dices.

And yes, that Giulia is nothing to sneeze at either.

I've seen a couple Throttle House videos before, and they were alright, but they didn't leave an impression. This one did. You can't help but smile when seeing footage of that GTV. I'll probably watch more of their uploads.
