With the higher rpms the most critical parts are the con rod bearings to the crankshaft, because they have to carry the load of the piston and the con rod which at the moment of changing the direction of the piston movement is enormous

Right you are mate! I'm a victim of a rod bearing knock at the moment. Hence, my E60 M5 is in shop for major repairs.

Huge props to Mercedes for really trying to re-invent high-revving engines for production cars.

I think you are reading too much into it. Props to Merc for putting the the F1 engine into a street car. But don't think for a sec they are going to high revving ICE on other production cars. Project one is a marketing exercise (and a well deserved one) to milk the fruits of their complete F1 domination.
