I think an all black leather interior with either the metallic weave trim we've seen in the E-class or the metalized ash trim seen in the S-class that's applied onto the dash and console, that'd look striking. Combine that with the nozzle vents, that would dive home the whole jet-engine motif.

Judging from the picture this is an E-Class Allroad. So it might be possible that they roll out a different centre console trim for the regular E-Classes soon.

Seems Harmut Sinkwitz agrees with you.

First suspected MB reduced options initially to ensure production quality of the new model, but now it seems the interior design team lead by Hartmut Sinkwitz may have called this one. They allegedly tested several center console layouts with wood and structured metal, and decided it was in conflict with their sensual purity theme. Too much wood and structured surfaces on the center console looked too baroque and stuck-up to them, or some such. Other options may emerge later on.

But the gloss black console is a pain in the ass to keep clean and a micro scratch nightmare. I hate it on my BMW. Sinkwitz needs to think about real people in the real world trying to keep their cars looking good.

Yes. Daimler may have been working on some super strong scratch resistant coatings with its suppliers for several years. Suspect it might be based on two component acrylate chemistry or some such?

The jet inspired nozzles may look somewhat familiar, from the Concept S Coupe, perhaps?

Leaked the new Mercedes E-class Coupe

Mercedes in early January at the Detroit Auto Show a new generation E-class (W213), and first in the sedan version. Of course, this was only the beginning since then to the fair in Beijing appeared extended class L, and in early June and wagon E Class Estate (T-Modell).

On the basis of this E-class Estate was created and All-Terrain (pro) field version, presented in late September at the Paris Motor Show, but do not end here because the new version, and it Coupe and Convertible.
