Part 11
Now this was a very interesting find. A Mercedes Universal estate. Back in the 1960s, Mercedes did not offer a factory made station wagon so aftermarket companies like Crayford in the UK or Universal in Belgium converted some Mercedes' into estates. They're very rare however and I was lucky to spot this one at this car show. As you can see, it's a top quality conversion too.
Anyone know what this black car could be? The red car next to it is a DKW 1000S. My father's mother owned one of these in the 1960s. The 1000S was the sports model with 55-horsepower (the regular 1000 had 50-horsepower).
Gorgeous Opel Admiral
Buick Riviera. Looks like a late 1960s. Am I right?
Mercedes 300SL Roadster and Triumph TR6
One of my favorite oldschool Mercedes Coupes! Beautiful and timeless. One of Paul Bracq's best designs!
White Mercedes 200 (W115) and a 280CE (W114) Coupe next to it. Gorgeous!
Both these cars were around at the same time: Mercedes 280SE Coupe and 280SL "Pagoda"
Detailed shots of the Mercedes 280SL...
Always thought these were pretty hot. Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV
Classic Toyota Celica from the days when Toyota's still had style.
Jaguar E-Type
Ferrari Dino
Mercedes 300S Coupe, one of the most expensive cars in the 1950s.
Ford Mustang "Fastback", I assume?
Simca Special, an old French carmaker that was later absorbed or bought out by Peugeot I believe...
East German car: Trabant estate
