Its amazing and frustrating that Mercedes can make a "truck" look soooo good, but turn out a questionable looking SL550.

It's actually most frustrating that the only new cars that M-B are making with a clear vision and focus are their Trucks, while most of their newest released/rendered cars are looking confused in one way or another. I've always hated M-B SUV's, I hate it that the ones I can criticize the least these days are the SUV's.

Power Easy-Entry for GL-Class Delayed!

The Power Easy-Entry function for the second row seat is not available for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. The option code has been removed from all of the vehicles scheduled for production. Both sides of the rear seat will still tumble to allow access to the third row and the manual mechanism is easier to use than the previous generation. We do expect the option to be available starting with the 2014 model year.

I can understand why. Fantastic car. When I look at it I realise BMW needs an X7!

Agreed. It's hit or miss these days, in my opinion. Some really good models and a few really ugly or questionable ones as well..
And don't worry K-A, I consider the E sedan/wagon a hit

Wolfgang, are there any planned MY14 changes to the GL?

Suspect safety features from the E-Class, Vivaki, and maybe the updated COMAND. Hopefully availability will be better in MY2014, as the 2013s seem to be all spoken for now. Waiting for an official confirmation, haven't seen anything yet.

I wonder why Mercedes won't produce all the GLs and MLs they can for the U.S. market? All of sudden I'm seeing the GL everywhere now.
