true, i would also like it more if the screen would be integrated...

For the first time ever, this car is looking good to my eyes. What a monster. I never understood what people see in this car, and why they pay so much money for it.
But for this G65, that is a monster though.
Although I find 5.3 seconds to 100km/h slow.

I still remember my radio control dual servo Mercedes G from my childhood. I used to love how it looked and how it drove.:D

Like vintage wine, it only got better with time like a Porsche 911.

The best SUV of all times. Period.

I think if they used the black shiny plastic on the center console around the vents and buttons it would look a little higher quality, much like BMW does. It blends better with the radio also.

come on man! this is a 2.600 kg SUV with NO ( i said NO) cw - aerodynamic!
I think that 5.3s are just awesome!

Well, for example, the Q7 V12 TDI with 500hp (112 hp less then the G65) weighs 2605kg and does it in 5.5 seconds. And it's not a car that you call aerodynamic either.
And the G55 AMG, with 507hp (105 less), does it in 5.5 seconds.

It doesnt matter that it has got no aerodynamics. I mean 612 HP !! That is insane, and should move even a cube like this to 100 km/h in less then 5 seconds.

What's the point of a twin-turbo V12 612 bhp SUV? To upset environmentalists for a kick off and make our planet a warmer place. Thank you Mercedes-Benz AMG. You rock!

I understand your point. I also feel the same way. But Mercedes wanted to put in place a large (or large-ish) TFT screen without making the dashboard taller and 'thicker'. Other manufacturers are also adopting similar solutions. Actually, I feel the cluster below the screen looks a little messy. It's a bit too low.

sorry man, but you can not compare the aerodynamic of the q7 and the g-class wich is 25 years older!
the q7 has a waaaay better aerodynamic, for example you should look just the front (mask) and the front glass which is @the q7 nice designed and in the G just its just straight.

Sure I can't, but you can compare the weight and the fact that is got a 112 hp less!
And how do you exaplain the G55 being almost as fast, with 105 hp less?

Get the point. I do LOVE the G65 AMG. But the 0-100 km/h time is a freaking JOKE.
