E-Class (W213) [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213

The W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, sold from 2016 as a 2017 model. It succeeded the W212/S212 E-Class models. The coupe/convertible models share the same platform as the sedan/wagon, in contrast to the previous generation. The high-performance Mercedes-AMG E63 and E63S versions of the W213 have been available as well from 2016 (as a 2017 model), and these are the only versions with V8 engines.
None of that badgery stuff matters if this car drives right. I'm over it at this point. It is what it is. I'm just glad that it nearly matches the old E550 in hp, 396hp vs 402hp, and with a much better transmission and likely less weight. E450 AMG Sport makes more sense, but they aren't going to change it now.

Great photo's, look forward to seeing some "live" shots from the show. The E43 will definitely be my next car. Hopefully some exclusive interior options will be made available (please please please allow wood trim on the centre console).

I am hoping that with the Maybach version of the E, we may see better material on that plasticky center console that is an eyesore in otherwise beautiful interior.

The pictures of the camouflage E63 shows a different bonnet/hood line than on the regular W213. Are we going to see modification in terms of design also? Or is it part of camouflaging? But then why trying to imply the design change if the new car is already out.

The E43 AMG looks really great, I like those rims and diamond grill. The front looks quite aggressive. Interior looks fantastic, like those superbly bolstered and comfy looking sports seats and the 3 spoke smallish diameter AMG steering wheel.

I reckon this is the replacement for the E500. I don't think we'll see the E500 again. This is far more economical and they'll be able to charge E500 V8 pricing for the E43, whilst reducing carbon footprint and producing an exciting product. I love this car.

They will charge more than the existing e500 v8 pricing. Similar to Audi s6 concept

I disagree. The S6 is roughly as expensive as the E500 was. The new E43 has two cylinders and 50 hp less than the S6. I would bet, that the E43 will have a similiar price point as the old E500/S6, or there are some extras included that make it the same value under the dash.

I think we will see an E class with a V8. A variation of the AMG GT-S 4L V8 will be the engine used, too.
