Cadillac CT6 [Official] Cadillac CT6 (2016)

The Cadillac CT6 (short for Cadillac Touring 6) is a full-size luxury car manufactured by Cadillac between 2016 and 2020 over two generations. The first generation CT6 was introduced at the 2015 New York International Auto Show and went on sale in the U.S. in March 2016. It is the first car to adopt the brand's revised naming strategy, as well as the first rear-wheel drive full-size Cadillac sedan since the Fleetwood was discontinued in 1996. In 2020, the CT6 was discontinued in the United States, to be replaced by the forthcoming Cadillac Celestiq liftback sedan.

I like it but I had higher expectations and was looking forward to seeing what Caddie had up their sleeves. A little let down by the interior, but that's to be a expected a bit as good ol' Johan made it sound like it was the Second Coming.

There's something odd I noticed in the press footage thus far....there's no press pic of the rear. In the above video, once the camera pans to the rear it abruptly stops. There's one brief view of the rear but it's partly obscured by the exhaust and a little out of focus.

For a vehicle so long in the making I was expecting it to be a little more adventurous.

It's not unlike other GM products: ie, the Australian Holden Caprice

Nothing but a larger version of the CTS.
Not liking that interior too much. Nothing about it says world-class.

Love the front. The rear is ok, I knew there would be the vertical tail lights, but I was expecting at least a different lighting of them. The interior, well it is nice, but won't touch the 222's.
Overall, it's a very good car, but the S is still the king:( Must be much better in person.
The problem is this car was designed a long time ago. Before the jaw dropping concepts, so it's not a surprise the ct6 does not look like them. Wait for the ct7+ they will be stunning.
I would put this car just after the S now.

Interior looks good, lots of Benz like controls sprinkled about. Looks like quality not seen in any other GM product. Need more pics though.

Wood looks totally fake. Weird integration with screen and perforated leather/pleather... Not bad... But actually expected better.

Pause the video at 0:49 and 1:44.

The front profile has a jigsaw-like quality that is very distasteful.

I think that Cadillac is having difficulty blending sport and luxury with the CT6...it does have some "arts and sciences" edginess, but it still looks like a snoozer (especially the interior.)

It's not extravagant, but there is something stately about it in profile. It's a Cadillac for sure. The design is moving closer to Ciel and Elmiraj, but not quite there yet. Still a lot of CTS.

I think it doesn't look bad at all. Personally I had hoped for a bit more of Elmiraj in it's design. Haven't got any idea of the look and feel of the interior. How the leather feels on skin, how the dashboard touches my fingers and how the fit and finish is. I have never sat in a Cadillac before. Can some of the american, or other more Cadillac afine, members fill me in on this?

It is stately and handsome too. Finally Cadillac has followed up on its endless concepts with a large sedan that looks the part. Although its unlikely to beat the Germans at their own game, it is bound to be a cheaper, and less common alternative.

What I do question about the car is its interior ergonomics. Not anywhere on the dash or steering wheel do I see a knob, jog wheel or scroll. For a luxury car where simple featured should be enhanced but effortless to use, this is a downer.

As I said before, too much tease is 110% guarantee of disappointment.

It looks like shit.
Yeah. I was expecting so much more. I was trying to like it yesterday, but 2day I realise it really looks like an ats on steroids. So u are right. It's a big POS. Boring as *uck. Inside and out. Can't trust them anymore. Hey GM look what I got for you:finger::finger::finger:
