All the more reason for BMW to boot it out of the range. It's just far too good looking.GranCoupe with M-package still the best looking BMW for me.
As much as I love the FL GC, I'm not a fan of these new colours.
Exactamundo.If it ain't broke - don't fix it.

Just to think it originally started conceptually to be a four door until they became concerned about its close proximity to the 3er and the popularity of the Audi A5 Sportback.

So Is this going to survive another generation?
If so, what will the future 3gt be called?
The 6er Gran Coupe survives but it will now be the 8er. I would like to think the 4er Gran Coupe survives in one form or the other as it has been successful. Maybe they might go back to the four door idea? Or is there no turning back on the more practical hatch.
The interesting aspect of 3er GT versus 4er Gran Coupe is that again they co-exist with the customer understanding the practical ability of the Gran Turismo against the sportier character and appearance of the Gran Coupe.
Will the 4er inherit the GT? Or will 6er GT be an anomaly? Is something that is still under discussion but with the 6er BMW do not intend to trash what the 6er initially stands for since the E24. So like the 2er there can be requirement for a traditional 6er as you expect and the addition of a more practical model.
What I understand what they are trying to do is to extend the model lines to offer various models within a single designation. As an example the 2er which offers both sportier and practical choices but they can co-exist. And in the case of the practical model outsell the more sportier model.
