Freelander Land Rover LR2 Freelander Revealed

The Land Rover Freelander is a series of four-wheel-drive vehicles that was manufactured and marketed by Land Rover from 1997 to 2015. The second generation was sold from 2007 to 2015 in North America and the Middle East as the LR2 and in Europe as the Freelander 2. After a five-year hiatus, the two-door Freelanders were succeeded by the three-door versions of the Range Rover Evoque in 2011, and the five-door generation 2 was replaced by the Discovery Sport in 2015.

Couldn't be Uglier if you ask me. And the profile doesn't look any different except for the tacked-on-looking vents...

It's nissan murano/Infinit FX35 inspired center stack isn't very special either.

Thanks for the pictures!

I can't say I like this, it just doesn't fit together, looks like Land Rover has taken parts from there other models, and made a car from them! Hopefully it will look better in the flesh, but from these pictures, it doesn't look very good IMO!

I will. Still dislike the X3's mug.

The Land Rover look has been groomed into something entirely unique that does a great job conveying the brand's [implied] principles.

This isn't as confident and substantial looking as the Range Rover / RR Sport, but it still carries the family look which is working very good at the moment.

Nice find

Overall, it seems a little underwhelming. Pleasant, but underwhelming. Reminds me of a Honda CRV, for some reason, and the front section also reminds me of a Nissan X-Trail.

The grille looks odd, how it is 'stuck on' in front of the rest of the front section, and how there's a 'step' in between the top of the grille and the top of the bonnet. That the grille is so shiny makes it all the more prominent.

They must have really liked the old model's design... Still, as far as I'm concerned it's one of the less ugly SUVs out there.
