still I have faith in MB and I am sure there is a logical explanation of this.
I've heard through the grapevine the new I6 engines will not be in the W213 from introduction on (2016), but not sooner as in 2017. Perhaps Wolfgang knows more.Ooooh this is looking real good. I want to say I see a low of W211 in that shape. They are surely testing the hell out of it. If this E launches with the new I6 engines this will be as close to the old days (W124) as you can get.

I think that is highly possible given that MB don't really introduce new car and new engine at the same time, but then again designing a car to switching from V engines to inline engines aren't cheap either.I've heard through the grapevine the new I6 engines will not be in the W213 from introduction on (2016), but not sooner as in 2017. jesmb.de writes that not all new engines will be available from the start of production in 03/2016. Mainly the petrol R6 3,0 should not come before 2017. So maybe they will offer only 4 cylinder petrol engines and the new R6 diesels. There should be no V8, the strongest biturbo R6 3,0 state of tune should provide 430 PS.I HOPE it launches with the new engines. MB needs to be ensure they're competitive with the engine lineup from the onset. Engines and gearbox have been a stumbling block for too long.
That said they better test the hell out of it.

Only 430 hp? That's too little for the top of the line E class (non AMG), imo.
