^ I wouldn't get your hopes up too much.
For the CLS I remember, because it's the same car with same dimensions as the W212, and the W212 was already launched.
But for the C class I don't even remember seeing a different interior (this close to launch no less)

Either way, even if the C lass had a fake interior, this E class is the real deal. No doubt.

The area where the dash meets the center console, the HVAC switch gear in the E
seems to clash with the flowing dash line under the air vents. It could have been sorted out better I think. It looks a little jammed up...

But on the other hand, the area with the wood and vents looks very clean now. It depends on the way you look at it, because I like the 'jammed up look' for the lower console, makes it look less empty and bland.

^ Yeah you're absolutely right, my bad - I remember seeing the spied interior with the manual gearbox, vs the one with the 7G. Really hope you're wrong regarding the W213 interior though... But I guess not.

By the looks of the prototype that is what we will probably get.

Because only BMW prototypes hide the details

Taking into account this car debuts this fall, I find it weird that we have yet to see full FEP mules. Usually MB takes almost all the camo away 12 months before the official release. Mules seem to be really advanced though, so I would not be surprissed if in a few weeks we see FEP mules with most of the design revealed.

like people here are saying, this would be a real disappointment....even though overall it looks acceptably nice, and just that, for example the dropping line looks superb I hope it turns out like that, because that is what I expect from MB, a Teutonic Germanic interpretation of a grand curvy design element, the w205 dropping line is a bit too droopy and S-class imo, this on the other hand looks more german and authentic. the rest well all I could see is disturbingly C-class, i'm praying these renderings are not true, because judging from these the next 5er I dare say looks better?

I think it looks nice but yes its going be boring if its that..I think from what Mike said the rear is like that so yap MB has is using copy and paste...The side looks very good.

I actually quite like the renders, but I do hold out hope that there is some details here and there gives the E its own identity.

And, as Megaoctane said, an AMG treatment with a classic grill...that's the way to do it. None of this Sports grille on a proper sedan.

No, no no... This is not the right way to design your range. Trying to pass the C-Class as a mini S-Class is not my favourite decission, but pasting the same design on your three sedans is by all accounts a big mistake. Even Audi is moving away from that.

I will say this... If you take the E's history into consideration, the taillights in the W213 should not go into the trunk lid as they have been alternating the design each generation ever since the W123...
