I just drove the C450 this evening. Mercedes has a winner on their hands. It is the perfect every day C-Class. Serious power when you need it, but able to dial it back and relax when you don't need it. For a change the actual sport mode makes a true difference, like on various BMWs. Mercedes has really nailed it this time. Pricey AF though, easily a 60-65K car. I expect the C450 Coupe and convertible to be knockouts and the GLC450. This 3.0L turbo V6 is a hard working engine that makes these "450" variants the perfect combination of sport/luxury in the MB lineup and some of the best on the market IMO.

Looks like the C 220 d BlueEfficiency Edition production will end in January. Suspect there was no demand for it? :)

Doos. Still one of the greatest words in the world.
I especially like the word kak cause when you somewhere in the world and you hear someone say that is full of "kak" then you are meeting another South African.

I've been driving a 220cdi Bluetec for the past few days and overall I'm pretty impressed!

Best part:
Driving modes: these really change the cars characteristics!
Comfort!
Driving cell: I feel like it wants to be driven while behind the wheel

Worst:
Weight: driving it in comfort mode is terrible and it barely moves past 160km/h. Unacceptable for such an expensive car.

I managed to connect my phone within a minute and I still can't see my fuel consumption unless I put it in eco.

The electronics are too cluttered. I'm sure it works in the s-class that is full of features, but with only basic features available it's more taunting than anything else. It's like the menus are there only to remind you of what you can't afford. And it's still pricey!

Most of the interior is perfect, but some buttons just feel like toys.

Overall I'm impressed though and I enjoy driving it. But I would never spend my own money on one.
