Well, at least one can eat inexpensive tasty food with what little money one has left after such a purchase...:-)

PS: Will try to post an early update on driving experience soon.
Still running in the engine; NO opening the taps, paddle shifting, or distronic cruise right now...

It looks sublime @714Merc ! Can you make photos of ambient lighting, during night, in all 7 colors (from the rear right seat)? Sorry if I ask too much:love:

Must we turn every single thread to MB vs BMW vs Audi? You can say whatever you want, but only at the appropriate section of the forum.

I know we can't get anything off the MSRP, but what are you guys getting the dealer to throw in with the deal.......maintenance, warranty, perks,...???

I normally have them throw in 2-3 years worth of maintenance. They only gave me 1 year with my order this time though lol. I'm slipping...

I did get a discount off msrp, but can't say how much. Certainly not my normal invoice price considering I know the owners personally...
Also, dealership threw in ceramic window tint...:)

So the knowing the owners personally was your edge? If so, that's cool. Wish I had an insider like that.

Yes, but didn't get it without some serious wrangling... Can't really blame them; only limited number of S -Class allocations and could easily have sold my car for premium over msrp...
Kratos-TM, try for a discount on some of your options...
At the very least, they can give you a few hundred dollar tint job...:-)

Congrats 714Merc, you car looks boss. I have a question though, is it possible to replace the side skirt with the ones from the S65 AMG. The side view looks a little dull without the chrome trim running along the bottom edge of the doors.

I would love to do that as well Monster...
Maybe even change to S63 exhaust too...:-)
But, to be honest, I like Anthracite Blue so much I don't mind the lack of chrome...
The rims are also very dark, gunmetal? Produces a very dark effect, which is in vogue at the moment, I guess...

PS: We had some rain last week so I washed the car today. The body panels are so 3 dimensional, with the supple feel of the complimentary line, and the sharp crease of the dropping line, as well as the 3-D effect of the AMG side-skirts... Just felt so good running the micro fiber towels over the car...:-)
