Well, it would have, if the RS4 would have started first. Its not easy to pass a car on such course. Look what happened when he finally passed, he just pulled away.Lol, i thought that the mighty RS4 will have at least 20 cars advantage in these conditions and 4wd, but that wasn't the case.

The track was almost wet due to obvious fog, it was slippery as well and in those conditions the overtakes for RS4 and it's quattro shouldn't be a problem at all. Let alone the 77hp advantage...

In that picture....The RS4 didn't take the M3 on the outside, the RS4 ran wide. Watch it again, where it finally passed the M3 was when the M3 ran wide because of lack or grip and the dude let the back slip.
Plus, I am surprised that it took the RS4 so damn long to finally catch the M3, and the RS4 didn't pull away as I thought it should've. And no, I'm not defending the M3 but more like posing a question to the RS4. Why the hell did it take so damn long when it had not only the hp advantage but also grip advantage in those conditions?

When I was on that m5board.com event , there was a race between a new RS4 and M3 E46 from rolling start and that race was very tight. The rs4 also race a tuned M5 E39 with 420hp and the rs4 lost.
BTW I know the rs4 owner and he was pretty mad about it but he still own the car but he also own a M5 E60, Lucky bastard!

RS4 is a different league than M3 when it comes to acceleration but it is still based on a 6 year old model. Don't forget that.
not from rolling start its not, from standstill yes.
doesnt matter if it based on a 6 year old model, the technology is new, a lot has changed from the year it came. A Rs4 isnt just a tuned A4, it got special treatment. Your old talk is getting a little bit exaggeratedly, should I use the same arguments in the future?

Best motoring always do that. they like to put on a show, and it proves that we should only take their info with a grain of salt as its been setup.

I dont agree. You can only polish a turd so much (not that im calling the B7 a turd, but lets face it VAG never engineered it to be a very sporty car like the 3er due to VW ties at the time).
the Chassis still had the 60-40 weight distribution and for audi to overcome that and still make such a magnificient car really shows how good they can be at making cars.
Also the video was setup, you can cleary see that the RS4 could have leap frogged every car from the start but the driver let go off the gas so the M3 can slip in front. Also there were plenty of times where the M3 was struggling for grip, whilst the RS4 with 4wd wasnt doing so yet the driver purposefully sat behind the M3 for a couple laps.
these best motoring vids are BS anyway as I saw a vid where a NSX beat a 996 GT3 by a huge margin
Although we can see that the RS4 is far superior to the M3 as once it does pass the M3 look at the huge gap between them.

using the A4 for being 6 years old as an argument for not making a Rs4 a great car doesnt work in my world. Sorry. M3 is an old car as well but still manage to be an impressive car even today and put up a fight with many newer cars.
