Thanks for the link, I just finished watching the show. Looking at the F430 and AMV8 facing each other gave me goosebumps, the F430 is simply epic.

yeah man in that colour..the damn F430 is sick.. it needs to be dark.. otherwise the front is wierd imo..but surely its one of the best and sickest cars out there..

ha ha ha...that was a no contest choice. I didn't have to drive the cars to know that I would like the F430, but would've acted dumb just so I can drive super cars head to head

I agree on that it looks better in dark, but imo it's still not as good looking as it could be.

Your right about the front, and the rear is just to ugly to look at. At least the rear is better than the Enzo's. I know that it's good, but the Gallardo is so close in performance and nicer in every other way imo that I'd pick it over the Ferrari any day. But a Pagani would kick them both to Mars and back

I totally love the F430, the car amaze me everytime I see the car. Im glad Im not rich , I would have a headache to decide what car to buy

I watched this episode live on TV, to me it seemed weird they didn't compare the F430 and DB9, they are closer in terms of price and performance!

Although if I was him, I'd buy an M5 because it can be just as good as the F430, if not better (remember M5 beating F430 in Autocar road test) and also will go around town just as good as a 523i!

Well he wanted an exotic and that's what he should get. Although the M5 is a fast car it doesn't look, sound and feel like an F430. Personally I think that he will go for another car, he simply won't be able to get his hands on an F430. Looking at the cars he had to choose from it was pretty much an easy choice to gof or the F430.

The article was not a test but rather a back to back driving impression written by Steve Sutcliff (quite possibly the most accomplished motoring journalist around) of Autocar. Whislt I trust his judgement implicitly it has to be said that the "shoot-out" was engineered in the BMWs favour by removing the F430 from its preferred domain. The evaluation was conducted on Welsh B-roads where the M5's more supple suspension gave it the edge seemingly.

No laptimes or test-specific performance figures were quoted.

The F430's main competitor is the Gallardo against which it is very very closely matched. In EVO the Gallardo vs. M5 saw the Bimmer acquit itself with honour though it was positively demolished by the Lambo in terms of track time. So let's read between the lines and assume that the Autocar comparison was subjectively skewed in favour of the M5.

of course a M5 isnt fast as F430 around a track but for persons that dont have much trackexperience, of course he can beat a F430 around a track if the driver isnt good.
Autocar comparison wasnt done on a track, just real-life conditions so its possible the M5 is a easier car to drive than the Ferrari.

The M5 might be really fast but I don't think that it can please you as much as an F430 can. If that wasn't the case, we would have people canceling their F430 orders and getting the M5/M6 instead. Owning an F430 is not about 0-200 times and such. Its about sexy, sleek looks, loud singing engine and superb driving enjoyment.

C'mon Just_Me....we all know who's going to win that...the RS4 of course not to mention if you saw in the previews the track is wet...LOL

There is no way the current M3 can take on the RS4, so why compare? It's lacking almost 80bhp...but oh well it's still fun to watch!

in EVO M3 CS beat the RS4 around their track so everything can happen. I dont care much whois winning. It looked awesome to see the M3 drifting just in front of that RS4. Thats what I call entertaining
