OMG that is crazy.. is that train in USE?
i dont know what the sensation is being on board.. other than you arrive at your destination very fast..
but from the outside.. OMG

damn! wished i could have seen from the driver's point of view.

i was on a similar train about two years ago. we didn't quite reach 500, but i think we went well into the 400's. it is slightly elevated so after awhile you lose sense of how fast you're actually going. the cars you see on the street seem stationary even though they're doing about 70km or so. i really recommend the experience if anyone here ever goes to shanghai, even if you just ride it for fun like i did and didn't really have to go from the station to the airport.

The only question that comes to mind is
Whats the point of a Veyron when you get humiliated by a train?

Chinese, in use afaik...:usa7uh:

:t-cheers:
It's actually the Japanese JR-Maglev MLX01 and it's the fastest non-conventional train in the world. On December 2, 2003, it achieved a maximum speed of 581 km/h (361 mph) which is the current world record. The fastest conventional train is the French SNCF TGV POS (574,8 km/h (357,18 mph)). This train is featured in the video CarGuy posted.

A good video about the JR-Maglev project:
