Carbon fiber, handling and ultra lightweight! That's the guiding principle of Brabus for refining the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The exclusive sport program comprises aerodynamic-enhancement components made from carbon fiber, ultra-lightweight forged wheels, an electronically adjustable smooth-ride suspension (Ride Control) suspension, a titanium exhaust system with bypass gate, and Brabus leather.

Extremely light yet enormously strong carbon fiber identical to the one used in Formula 1 racing was chosen as the material for the Brabus aerodynamic-enhancement components. The components were developed in the wind tunnel. They give the gullwing car an even more striking appearance while optimizing its aerodynamic properties. All components are available either made from clear-coated carbon fiber for a true racing flair or can be painted to match or contrast with the car's exterior color.

The front fascia of the coupe receives a visual upgrade with the Brabus front spoiler. But that's not all: The spoiler further reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds which results in even better directional stability. The two Brabus covers for the upper air inlets in the bumper lend the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG an even more striking face while optimizing the cooling air supply.

Brabus also lends the sides of the SLS a sharper profile. The new air outlets for the front fenders feature a modern design with integrated blue-illuminated Brabus lettering. The illumination is activated via the keyless-entry remote or by pulling on a door handle.

Brabus also adds some more visual pizzazz to the rear appearance of the Mercedes SLS AMG with the Brabus rear spoiler and the Brabus rear fascia element that features custom-tailored cutouts for the four exhaust tips of the Brabus sport exhaust system.

Forged wheels that were custom-developed for the SLS are also elementary for the electrifying Brabus look. By choosing a staggered tire/wheel combination with diameters of 20 inches in front and 21 inches on the rear axle Brabus further emphasizes the sporty character of the two-door car. The ultra-light Brabus Monoblock F PLATINUM EDITION cross-spoke wheels are up to twelve percent lighter than the stock wheels of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and are mounted in size 9.5Jx20 in front and in size 11Jx21 on the rear axle. The extremely wide high-performance tires in sizes 275/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 21 are supplied by Brabus technology partners Pirelli and YOKOHAMA.

Another custom development is the height-adjustable Brabus smooth-ride suspension (Ride Control). It can lower the ride height of the sports car by up to 40 millimeters (1.6 inches). At the push of a button the driver can choose between damper settings that offer a more comfortable or sportier ride compared to the production suspension. To complement this suspension Brabus will soon offer the Brabus Front Lift system. It raises the front of the car by some 50 millimeters (2 inches) at the push of a button to safely navigate steep parking ramps or other obstacles.

While engine tuning for the 6.3-liter V8 is still in the final development phase there already is an extremely lightweight Brabus titanium sport exhaust system with four slanted exhaust tips. The tips have a diameter of 84 millimeters (3.3 inches). This exhaust system weighs 12 kilograms (26 lbs.) or 40 percent less than the production exhaust and adds an extra ten horsepower to the engine's output. A special feature of this exhaust system is a pneumatically controlled bypass gate that is activated from the cockpit. The normal mode represents a "coming home"sound level that is quieter than the production exhaust. It appeals especially to the neighbors when the SLS returns home late at night. With open bypass gate the eight-cylinder engine sounds even sportier than with the stock exhaust system.

For the cockpit of the two-seater the Brabus interior designers have developed exclusive accessories and masterfully crafted custom interiors. The speedometer with 400-km/h scale (250 mph) already hints at the car's future performance with Brabus engine tuning. An ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel is also part of the Brabus customization program as are stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated Brabus logo and matteanodized pedals.

The Brabus upholstery shop creates fully custom interiors for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG from top-quality materials. Customers can choose from different types of leather and Alcantara in any desired color and design to suit their individual tastes.

Brabus can also fulfill individual requests for the trim on dashboard, center console and door panels. Brabus manufactures carbon-fiber and wood trim sets in any color and with any desired surface finish.

This is definitely BRABUS best effort yet, looks wise.

Still prefer the stock exhaust though.

Want one NOW please.:D

Nice looking, I like the LED lighting on the console sides and doorsills. The leather in some of the full-size shots doesn't look as smooth as I'd prefer, though I'm sure its high-quality. Also, I wonder how leather-lined footwells hold up? Are you supposed to drive wearing just socks?

At last one of the better Brabus tries to make a superb car the ultimate car...
I still have in mind the horrible E V12 One of ten *sigh*

The front air intakes look very put on but the rest is ok. But why in hell do they replace inside leather with leather and let the boring command control panel like it is?
The could have renewed the panel with some carbon. I don´t like that to, but it would look better than the original.
:D

Don't like the rims nor the blue leds inside the cabin, but those small things don't mind me at all in this case

The motoring world has waited with a mix of fear and hope for Brabus to unleash hell inside AMG’s stunning new SLS – but it looks like it will need to wait a bit longer.
While the Ruhr Valley hot Benz tuning house has finally unveiled its version of the critically acclaimed gull-winged SLS, it has kept the anticipation simmering by showing only cosmetic, exhaust and chassis changes.
Even though the standard SLS pumps out 571 horsepower of power from its 6.2-liter V8 engine, there had been expectations that Brabus would force-feed the dry-sumped supercar to push its peak power out to well beyond the 600 horsepower mark and take the SLS into the stratified air of the Lamborghini Murcielago and the Ferrari 599 GTO.
Instead, a titanium exhaust adds only 10 horsepower, with no internal fiddles to the engine and no turbo or super chargers bolted alongside it.
Yet those hopes will have to wait, because the first Brabus SLS instead boasts of aerodynamic tweaks, extensive use of carbon fiber, a new, adjustable suspension system and the exhaust system, which boasts a new, quiet “Coming Home” mode.
So the Brabus SLS will debut at the Paris Motor Show at the end of the month with its heaviest sports car artillery still in the arsenal, because its first efforts at tweaking the SLS promise a car with a slightly broader breadth of ability and even more luxury, but only a fraction more speed.
Still, Brabus is promising that it’s in its final development phase for the high-powered version of V8, which will run the new car’s Brabus titanium exhaust.
Easily identified by its four, 84mm (3.3 inch) wide slanted exhaust tips, the exhaust saves 12kg (26lb) – or 40 percent – compared to the already-efficient AMG system.
It also shows Brabus’s understanding of domestic life, because it boasts pneumatic bypass valves that makes the V8 even louder than the AMG version when it’s open for mountain blasting, yet has a “Coming Home” mode that is quieter than the standard car when the valves are closed.
Another of its tweaks is the height-adjustable suspension system, which can lower the car’s ride height by 40mm (1.6 inches). The active suspension system offers dampers that can swap between comfort and handling settings at the push of a button and, to compliment this, there will also soon be a lift kit to give its nose another 50mm (2 inches) of clearance for driveways and speed bumps.
Externally, the Brabus version will be easy to spot by its huge extended vents behind its larger front wheels (which light up with blue Brabus lettering every time you hit the remote key or pull a door handle), plus its extended front spoiler.
The carbon spoiler, which can (like all the Brabus SLS’s carbon parts) be either clear coated or body colored, has been wind-tunnel tested to reduce front-axle lift and improve engine cooling.
Where the SLS’s big wheels are good, Brabus insists its bigger wheels are better. It has designed its own wheels, which lift the size to 9.5J x 20 inch front wheels and 11J x 21 inch rear wheels – and they’re 12 percent lighter than the standard units, too. Both Pirelli and Yokohama supply the 275/30 ZR20 front and 295/25 ZR21 rear tires.
Inside, there’s a swathe of Brabus leather and carbon fiber, with a 400km/h speedometer hinting at the sort of performance the SLS will have when its engine scores the full Brabus engine treatment.
