Shot these about an hour before sunset tonight... the bright sun here is really difficult to deal with when shooting a black car. The soft lighting of the evening really helps.

Yes ree... you have a good memory. I was waiting for sunset but the sky was totally overcast and the color just did not develop.

BTW...my first SL was a 1979 450SL and I had two more after that but nothing like this one. As I have said many times, the 7 Gtronic and 5.5 liter are a match made in heaven!

No the only mods I will make will be window tinting. I could not wish for any more than a stock SL... it is beautiful and a performer to boot. Love it!

Seriously though I'm so glad Mercedes' "Black" leather is actually black now. I can't tell you how much I hated the cheap, ugly looking "Charcoal" mess. It looks horrible when new and aged like crap.

Yes take a black ribbon and tie a knot at both ends. Place one end in each compartment and shut the lids. It should hold the bear while you push the car through the corners

Good tip! I have been wondering how I can anchor him in place and that black ribbon trick just might do it. I will try it out.

It will also keep him from flying out when the top is down and I do an occasional 70+ run on the open roads here...:-)

I found a test driver for my SL550. We had lunch up on Mt. Charleston at about 7500 feet, I drove up and she drove down. She is German and really knows how to handle a German car.

It's best to make this poll in a neutral section of the Mercedes-Benz forums such as the Mercedes-Benz Lounge.

Just make a new topic as you usually would and then scroll down to Additional Options. Click on the Post a Poll option and select the number of polls. Very simple.
