I think the computer stiffens the suspensions on one side of car and make minor steering correction to minimize body movement and ensure the car do not deviate from its intended path.

Thanks monster.

The only official video demonstration I found on the youtube is quite useless to be honest:

I think someone better remind Mercedes what a steering wheels does, think they forgot

Anyway, if cross winds do that to a S-class...

God help an smaller car

I don't think it is through steering corrections, I think it is just suspension adjustments.

This system is only available in conjunction with ABC (well the newest ABC always include this feature on the FL S-Class, except I believe on the S400 Hybrid)

It's a feature integrated in the suspension control, in case of sudden wind (truck, sudden burst of wind) one side of the suspension will harden which counters the tendancy to change lane.

Very effective it seems. Just like you take a bend in a bike, just by reclining it, here the car does that for you.
Certainly based ion the expericece gathered with concepts like the Mercedes F300 Lifejet, a 3-wheeler who reclined when taking a corner. Here the car doesn't really recline, but hardening one side has a similar effect, and it's very subtle in order only to maintain the current direction of the car determined by the ESP sensors.

Yes, the ABC system for the US also includes crosswind stabilization.

I have always believed it is the single most important option.

To be honest though, I can not imagine leaving any of them out.

I believe the system works by harding the suspension on the side downwind and softening the side upwind in order the countercant the car towards the wind, nearly eliminating the affects.
