Re: 2006 North America International Auto Show [NAIAS]

I really hope Aston doesn't cheap out and try to make a sedan out of the DB9 by simply adding some doors. I want Aston to do a sedan, but not that thing. It has to be unique, not a cut-n-patch job.

I fear they made the DB9 into a sedan... like Bentley did with the continental.

Saturn announces 2007 Sky
January 4, 2006

Detroit, Michigan - Saturn has announced details of the 2007 Saturn Sky, the company's all-new convertible roadster. The Sky will debut in the U.S. with an MSRP of US$23,690 and will be available in Spring, 2006.

The Sky is the first vehicle to feature a new look that will inspire the design of future Saturn products. It will be followed in Summer, 2006 by the all-new Aura midsize sedan and Outlook midsize SUV in late 2006.

The Sky uses a 2.4-litre, 177 hp Ecotec engine and five-speed Aisin manual transmission with short-throw shifter. An automatic transmission will be available. Other major standard features include four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, air conditioning, power locks, windows, mirrors and keyless entry, and CD stereo with auxiliary input jack for portable audio players. It will be built in GM's assembly facility in Wilmington, Delaware.

Re: 2006 North America International Auto Show [NAIAS]

Whats extrodinarily funny to me, is that all the car makes are having these huge launches of massively desirable cars in DETROIT, and not L.A. I don't know what the joke is, because it surely isn't the least bit funny, hands down you'll see far more BMW Z4 M's and coupes, along w/ the majority of all the other cars set to make their debut in Det. in L.A. I understand that at one point in time, Detroit was "motor city"... but that day is long gone and forever lost.
