| One thing that I find really strange about Diesel cars. How come the manufacturers always adopt diesel engines in odd number engine sizes? Take Volkswagen for instance and its One point Nine liter Tee-Dee-Aye engine. Now even Fiat and Opel decided to follow suit and they also got One point Nine liter turbo diesel engines with an even more confusing designation: One point Nine Cee-Dee-Tee-Aye Sixteen Vee. Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes heck even Chrysler at least have simple designations. But Opel/Vauxhall, Fiat and the French generally add lots of odd designations after the odd number. To make matter worse, the worst manufacturer in the world, that only cares about medicare plans and see the car business ans a complete nuisance, General Motors decided to add more offense to the mix with a...are you ready? I give you a few seconds to sit down...1,2,3,4,5,6,7..OK here it goes. The Cadillac CTS to be sold in Europe later this year, will have the option of a diesel engine called the TWO POINT NINE CEE-DEE-TEE-AYE VEE-SIX. ENOUGH!!! I HAD IT ENOUGH OF THESE ODD NUMBERS! Make it an One point Eight liter Tee-Dee-Aye diesel engine instead of a One point Seven and a Two-liter instead of a One point Nine! And less letter please. Just make it simple like VAG, BMW, MB or DCX. |

| Re: One thing that I find really strange about Diesel cars. Yeah, I noticed that too... I remember of a particularly odd 1.9TDI in the A6 C6, I think. Could it be a technical reason? ![]()
