I took these photos yesterday while I was walking through Munich. The weather was perfect. Warm with great lighting conditions, a photographers dream!

So I saw these kids doing their stuff at the Max-Joseph-Platz and asked them if I could photograph them in action. They had no objections so here are the pictures. The guy dressed in black with the semi shaved head was the best of the bunch. This guy could do stuff that was just insane - check out my videos and you'll know what I mean.

I used shutter priority for these shots and shutter speeds ranging from 1/1600s to 1/2000s and ISO values of 500-1000 (later in the day as it got darker). In photoshop I gave some of the pictures a light smart blur treatment and lightly desaturated many of them for a fitting effect.

Hope you'll like the pictures!

This is the guy I am talking about. He was amazing!

See what I mean? Dude had skillzzzzzz. :t-cheers:

Different types of four wheels today Chris:D

I was wondering why you were taking pictures of skaters on Facebook, but anyway they are great pictures.

You should e-mail the pictures to the lads, they could use them to get sponsors:cool:

I am potentially meeting them again today with a DVD CD where I've burned all 1,500 pictures. :D

I only posted "a few" photos here but 120 of the best out of 1,500 on Facebook. :eusa_danc

Shooting with the D90 is addictive. This thing is so fast.

But yesterday I also had my D40 in my rucksack because I wan switching between the D90 and D40. D90 for fast photography (cars etc.) and the D40 for architectural etc. photography where speed and quick focus are not needed.

Man I want a Nikon D3x! :D

If only that X6 was more in view and those skater chicks were out of the way:eusa_doh:

Those lovely girls in the background came all the way from Italy to see Munich - and ended up checking out the skaters. :D

Seriously, there were like three buses with Italian kids that stopped here and all of them didn't give a damn about the city but just began watching and taking pictures of these skaters.
