Hey guys, here are some pictures of the Passat my Dad has bought. We got it on Wednesday. The pictures are taken on the journey home from the dealership which was in Birminham, about 200 miles from us. I haven't had a chance to take any more in detail pictures because Dad's been using the car. I will take more pictures later though.

This is the car at the dealership, looking very clean!

This is the Passat and the Golf. We are a VW family now!:D

Just to remind you what the specs are:

ipod connection
heated front and rear seats
rear airbags
phone cradle
sun roof
dual climate control
parking brake with auto hold
parking sensors
winter pack (includes dimming mirrors and headlight washers and heated everything)
Bi-xenon headlights
radio system 500 with 6 disc CD changer
multifunction steering wheel
type pressure monitor

The engine is the 2.0 litre diesel with 138bhp

I'll get Dad to do a review on the car, when he's driven it enough to comment. His first impressions are it's very quiet on the motorway, and it's effortless, even though he's running the car in, so isn't revving it too much!

FREAKIN' awesome! Is that green in colour? And a black interior?

Karma for sharing these pictures mate. :usa7uh: It looks mighty fine, I thought you were getting a sedan... A Variant is so much better! Love it.

The colour is Blue Graphite Pearl Effect, as chosen by me!:D

There aren't many around in that colour, they are all boring silver, but I saw one in this colour, and it was a bit dirty and still looked awesome, so I told Dad he had to have it. The interior is black with the silver trim, will take pics once Dad is home from work!

Congratulation to your new car. The colour is awesome, this is the best looking Passat I've ever seen (only the rims are not my taste). :D
I hope you all will have a lot of fun with this new VW...

Thanks, yea the rims aren't my choice either!

I tried to get my Dad to get one of the bigger rims, but to be honest, none of the VW rims on offer were that nice. I it was my car, I may try R32 rims, but Dad doesn't seem to want to spend money on rims! Shame.

Oh right, didn't know that, what engine/ colour does he have.

How are you getting on with the car?

It's previous gen. Passat, 1.9 TDI. Grey color.
He had some problems with turbine in the beggining (the turbine broke twice) - the car broke in Italy, but he got it repaired. Except of that, I can't say something bad about it. It really goes well, it's good for long destinations.:t-hands:

It's known that older VWs have had problems with turbine after 100,000 km...

Dom, was that the case by your father's car? After 100,000 km?

:t-cheers:

Sounds good, has the same engine as the golf then!

We haven't had any problems with the golf in the engine apart from the turbo going once, despite the car having done just over 180,000 miles!

I think it was even before 100,000 km. Reparation costed about 1500 € if I remember correctly. It's pretty cocky thing.
