X1 BMW X1 Concept: Official pics and info.


The BMW X1 is a line of cars produced by BMW since 2009. A subcompact luxury crossover class, the first-generation X1 was based on the E90 3 Series and offered rear-wheel drive layout as standard. The second-generation X1 marked the switch to a front-wheel-drive-based layout using the UKL2 platform shared with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the Mini Countryman.

Rear - Good

Side - Great

Wheels - Fantastic

Colour - Stays on the concept

Front - Give me three days, a pen and a piece of paper and I could do a better job...

Overall - Not Bad, Not great... I wanted more.

Bad idea to rip the 7ers front end for a low end SUV. Rear looks good, but the rear light is again a rip off the of 3er face lift. Guess BMW is taking a page out from the Audi's design book.

Hmm, very interesting. Can't say I was expecting this at all... definitely did not see the 7er front coming. And I really cannot tell how big this car is... it looks just as big as an X5 in these pictures, very misleading.

Can anyone confirm if that's the color that's going to be shown in Paris. I thought it was supposed to be bright yellow, not goldish yellow.

Make that Piss Yellow Warot :D Pretty ugly color imo. I was expecting real yellow too. Oh well.

20 minutes in, and I already am adjusted to the front. It looked weird at first but now not so weird anymore :D
I like the X1. Tomorrow I'll love it.

I was waiting for this car for a long time since it is exactly what I am looking for. I was a little disappointed at first but it grew on me fast. I really like the sleekness. I bet this car would look great in black! Where do I sign?

This car would look money in black. I really like the fact that it doesn't look like a small compact SAV. It really does look full size, this is exciting. :usa7uh:

As usual, it's a punch in your face, will wait before giving an opinion, and concerning headlights, the two tiny lamps remind me more of the 1 series than the 7 series.

overall good looking, just dont like the back too much, but hey, its still 100x better looking then X3!

lol, that's exactly how I always feel when a new BMW is presented....but this car is really growing fast on me....I only miss a proper Hofmeister Kink :(
The first press shots are always the worst possible pics they can somehow find...I can't wait for real life shots and better media/movies!

Man, I like this car A LOT. I'm still wondering about the hatch a bit. I really like the front though. This car is geared perfectly towards a younger crowd.

very very happy with how this concept turned out. Cant wait to see real life pics, it's gonna be epic.

P.S: Klier, what the hell are you doing up this late brother? :)

Yeah, I noticed that curve that leads to the window and I think it makes the side less boring. In person I think it'll will stand out more. Love the X1, especially the rear lights, mimics the 3 series facelifted lights. Just the front itself needs getting use to, but looking at it overall, the front really suits the car!

WOW WOW WOW!!! I THINK IT LOOKS GREAT!!! Keep it within 2-3k of the 1series and you can put plenty of people down. I cant wait to see the IRL photos. HOT HOT HOT. :)
