It's no fancy camera like some of you have, but it's an improvement over my old one. Took the car on a little road trip and had it out the other day, and since it was looking so damn good I had to take a bunch of pics to share with you guys!
Thanks for sharing! BTW, looks like one of the Christmas hockey sticks is broken. I know that LED's sometimes look like they have gone out from certain angles...
Thank you very much Dunkel and Martinbo! It was one of those days where you just look at and drive your car and it does it's job of just impressing you so much.
Dunkel: I noticed that, lol, it's just the pic, I don't know why but LED's get goofy on Camera.
K-A i must say your car is brilliant i have a White avantgarde but yours is even batter and i love mine so much..Your car is better then mine in looks and you pics are stunning..
Thanks and agreed! It's the kind of car where if you're having a bad day, it just smiles at you with confidence, tells you to get in, go along for a ride, and it'll make you feel better.
Agreed. I'm gonna eat my initial words (when I was a W212 hater, but let's forget about that ), and say that I think that this car will become very timeless, like those classic, 3-Box formidable Mercedes shapes. Looking at the current trends in design, with the bendy lines and such, I think the straight, lean, uniformed, staunch stately pose, and tautly creased sheetmetal will do big favors for it, whilst the artful elements will keep it modern for a very long time. I had it next to an X6 the other day, and although one might assume that the sheetmetal workings on both are relatively similar (creased, modern, bulges, some heavy-handed styling, etc.), the E really just had a very simplistic yet artful "Mercedes-esque" classic character to it, very clean and neat looking.
Looking at those pics I question whether M-B should have any drasctic changes planned for it's facelift. It's tough to think how this design can be improved upon.
Yep, the E-class with the AMG kit looks mighty impressive! It very much reminds me of the E39 5er with the sports kit... not overdone, not screaming for attention, just a nice kit that adds a sportier personality to an otherwise simple elegant design. As Martin said, white is right!
I really like the look of your smoked rear lights... definitely gives that rear-end a sinister look! As for the hockey-stick LEDs, you're right, when it comes to being photographed, it's just random whether they'll be on or off. There are many BMW press and test shots where it seems like the one of the LED angel eyes are out... but it's just the nature of LED lights.
The photos look pretty good too buddy.... keep up the good work. Maybe you'd like to join our weekly GCF Automotive Photo Competitions. Just a thought.
