Laguna Renault Laguna @ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show

The Renault Laguna is a large family car that was manufactured and marketed by Renault for 21 years in three body styles: hatchback, coupé, and estate. The first generation Laguna was launched in 1994, the second generation was introduced in 2000, and the third generation was built from October 2007 until 2015.

Renault surprised us today with the opening of a teaser site for its upcoming 2008 Laguna sedan. To be frank, we were expecting the first batch of shots to be released a couple of weeks prior to the Frankfurt Show in September, but obviously, the French had other plans. In approximately 40 days from now, Renault will fully unveil the 2008 Laguna, which is expected to go on sale this fall. However, for the time being, we have be content with Renault’s teaser video featuring a guy who sneaks up to a lightly camouflaged Laguna along with a set of interior images.

LOL, Fisichella is now in Renault adverts!

Surely he has better stuff to do, such as improve the F1 car!

Ghosn did the same as Winterkorn: he wanted from designers to rearrange the front for making the car more conservative. They want to inject some "germaness" in the design because they aim to create an image of 'top quality'.

It's not that bad actually! The interior looks very nice and so does the rear design. About the front, i'm not so sure, but it should grow on me.

PS. My father has a 2002 Laguna as a daily drive. It's a good car, but i don't know why he got it in the first place :D

Those interior shots don't look too bad. I'm reserving judgement on the exterior (and the front in particular) until official pics are released. I have a lot of admiration and respect for the French manufacturers as far as design is concerned, and I'm hoping the design of this car will make sense in some wonderfully mysterious way.

What does it say on the trunk under the Renault logo? renesa, renese? :cwm1:

Edit: Apparently Renault doesn't use real names for their cars in their Technocentre...

Judging from those pics i have to say:
1) I actually like this car. The previous model has a unique style and so does this one. I don't say it's absolutely beautiful, but it's very very nice for a 20.000eur car!
2) It's gonna give Mondeo a run for the money, if it is as good, mechanically wise!

OMG, it looks awful!

The sides of the car look very similar to the current car, but the front looks awful. The estate looks pretty good from the rear, but the sedan reminds me of the vel satis. The interior looks pretty nice though!

Renault was once a design leader ... Now the new Renault models look just too Citroen-ish (Laguna sedan, Twingo, ...). Where has the notorious Renault's design originality gone?

:t-hands:
