A $100,000 Hyundai

All-new 2010 Hyundai Equus is the most technologically advanced car ever to be produced in South Korea. In addition it is going to be the most expensive car Hyundai has ever produced.

Top of the range Hyundai Equus, with a new 5.0-liter V8 will cost Won 130,000,000 or $96,000 on the South Korean market.

At first the Equus will be offered with a 3.8-liter Lambda V6 and 4.6-liter Tau V8 engines. Later on a 420 plus horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine will be offered. That engine will take this big Korean limousine from 0-62 mph(0-100 km/h) in less than 6 seconds.

Compared to the current Equus, the new model will grow in size. Length is 5160 mm, width is 1900 mm, height is 1495 mm and the wheelbase is 3045 mm.

Some of the features available on the 2010 Hundai Equus are Pre-Safe seatbelts, LED lights, Vehicle Stability Management System, Lane Departure Warning System and the new in house developed 8-speed automatic gearbox.

We have no doubt that the Equus will sell with that price in its home market, but have doubts about U.S. and Europe. So far we don’t even know will it be sold in these markets. Expect more to come later on.

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

Oh I forgot Hyundai is SK not Japanese.

If somebody could move this to More Asian Cars please.

And sorry if repost there.

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

Hey kind of MBish rear arch..

:D

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

There is no way I could go "I have $100,000 to spend on a car, what do I want, MB, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Aston, no I want a Hyundai".
I could have any girl I want, Marisa Miller, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, no I want Fran Drescher :t-crazy2:

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

Another not too bad looking collection of BMW/Lexus/MB styling cues. It most definitely won't be sold here in the U.S. at that price.

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

Say what... $100K for a Hyundai? It's like watching Oprah's show with red wine!

They should worry about their product-quality instead of chasing what they just can't for now! :bangin:

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

I have no doubt that this is gonna be a sublime car,but they to be realistic.

Who in their right sane mind would spend that much on a Hyundai?

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

Ah, the Hyundai Horse (that's what the name means). I don't think this car would sell at all on the European and American markets (unless dirt-cheap), but it'll certainly be a hit among Korean CEOs.

Re: A $100,000 Hyundai

Ni I dont want an Audi S8, Mercedes S63/5 or an BMW 750li

I want a Hyundai, please! :t-crazy2:

I'll give it a "B" for effort, and "D" for execution based solely on the "wood" panel...if you even consider that wood. Reminds me of the plastic wood trim in my parent's mid-'80's Olds Cutlass (man, that car was ever the POS).

Overall, this is reminiscient of late '90's Lexus LS.

Hey, at least Fran would be appreciative whereas Marissa, Heidi, Gisele, and Adriana might not be so much:D:eusa_danc

:t-cheers:

Time to make use of the vomit bags you taken from the last air craft you sat in.

Mercedes must not own the patent on that style of seat control anymore, otherwise there is going to be trouble.

This car is definitely not the step up over the Genesis Hyundai made it out to be. The Genesis looks much better.

^^
Good eye. That's one hell of a rip-off that is guaranteed to make Dieter Zetsche's moustache turn black out of anger. The Genesis is east Asian luxury perfection while this car represent the very worst of Asian manufacturer's attempts at taking a piece at the upper spectrum of luxury cars.

The rear quarter panel is an E-Class rip-off. Bloody hell, the whole car is a total MB rip-off...
