So yesterday after three months of waiting I got the new C Class.
This review is going to be constantly updated as I didn't have much time to take proper photos and the weather is currently bad. So at this moment I will just give you some basic info and some photos I managed to take yesterday.
So let's go:
The model I selected is a C220 CDI with a 4 cylinder engine and 170 Hp. I was thinking to take the 320 CDI but I would have to wait till fall and that I can't do. Also I selected Avantgard package because it looks awsome with the sporty grill and the 17'' alloy whells. The engine is good but you can hear that 4 cylinder engine rattle and it is no match to the 320 CDI so people who will take this model will have to get used to that. In terms of handling, accelaretion and top speed there is nothing to critisise, because it is much better than on the W203. I have to say that Mercedes has finally realised that young people do buy their cars and not only 40+ .
It is safe to say that Mercedes - Benz is going in a right direction in terms of designing with all their latest models. They didn't fail us with the new C. Everyone is talking that is a baby S class - well I have to say that is partly true.
The more and more I looked at the car the more different classes I could see. So I personally think that the new C class is a blend of the CL (hood and the grill), S class (lines along the car and the flares in the front and the back) and the CLS (trunk and the C pillar).

Here are the Xenons frying my eyes out. I didn't order those Active curve turning lights but I did notice one cool feature that I wasn't aware of - If you at night turn the well to you left, the left fog light will turn on and if you turn your well to the right, the right fog light will turn on.

Update 1:
Like I promised I had todays day off and made some decent photos (interior still to follow).
Driving comfort:
First I would like to say that the ride is very comfortable. I tested several speed bumps in the city and there was almost no hard felling when going over them. The build quality is also very high because riding over lumps and all other anomalities on the road didn't make me once raise an eyebrow over some strange squeek or squeal. Nothing and I had the radio off and payed attention and there where no noises coming from the dashbord, doors or seats. Very good build quality I must say. Seats are much improved and more closer to the E class. They are very thick and the side support is enough to keep you in when you try to push a little harder into the corners. Driving on the rear seats is also much improved and extra leg space is something that every taller person will be happy about. Except exiting the car from the rear seats is a little harder than it was before and that is because the rear doors are now designed in such a way that the arm support and the loudspeaker make it more difficult to exit.
Engine and brakes:
I haven't had the chance yet to fully test the tourqe range of the car because it is not yet braken in. I did 160 km/h in a flash and the factory is stating that I should reach about 230 km/h (I intend to find that one out
). And the consumption is very nice. I'm currently at about 7 liters but it is going to drop once the engine is braken in. Very grateful engine but a little noisy.
The brakes - nothing bad to say. They are even better than on my previous 320 CDI that had bigger brake calipers than this one has. They are VERY VERY responsive - even a small tap will grab instantly without hesatation. They even apply breaking force when the car thinks that you are not braking hard enough. If you brake in an emergency the rear lights flash and warn others that something is going on. When it rains the brakes do tuch the discs from time to time to dry them. Everything positive on this side.
Interior:
Very nice. I just had a night run and must say that it looks very cool. The dashboard, radio, AC - everything looks very nice. They even added LED under the opening door handle and a LED light under the rearwiev mirror (like in BMW). The ambinet lights are very nice - like when you open the doors there is a safety red light at the bottom of the doors so the people that drive by can see you and there is a light that illuminates the space where your feet are. There is also a red warning light on the opened booth. Commanding the radio and system through the knob on the console is easy and very advanced (like that you just turn the knob and you shift the radio stations). When you play a CD there is finnaly built in CD TEXT so you see what is the tracks name and the CD name. There is also an AUX-IN in the glove compartment so you can hook up your MP3 player. The bluetooth on the radio is something that I was really glad to see because now I can have the phone in my pocket and when I enter the car and turn on the radio the bluetoozh connections becomes instantly active. Very good. The multifunction steering whell is much more improved as you now have much more buttons to fidle around the system settings, volume, mute, OK button and such.
And some more photos:
