Reventón [2007-2009] Lamborghini Reventón Revealed

The Lamborghini Reventón is a mid-engine limited production sports car that debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The official press release stated that only 20 vehicles would be sold to the public, with one additional car (marked as 00/20) produced for the Lamborghini museum. Each car is stamped with its number in the sequence of 20 between the driver and passenger seats. While the exterior is new, almost all the mechanical elements, including the engine, are sourced directly from the Murciélago LP 640.

The rumors of a new super Lambo are true, but the most remarkable aspect of the new Lamborghini Reventon isn't its horsepower or torque, it's the price -- 1 million euros even. That's more than a 300 percent premium over the Murcielago upon which the Reventon is based. Forking over an extra $700,000 gets you about 20 extra horsepower, loads of carbon-fiber trim and some questionable bodywork. So yeah, it's not much of a deal, but with only 20 slated for construction in 2008, the exclusivity of the Reventon is the real draw. "It's the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini ever built," said Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini SpA at the reveal here in Frankfurt. Apparently a phrase like that is enough, as all 20 Reventons have already been sold.

but the offical ones.. OMG its a stunner.. its like nothing else

The presentation colour is terrible, it's the same used for the LP640. It doesn't photograph well. I'm slightly disappointed as well. I actually expected something much more unique and radical. Especially when the car cost 1 million euro. But on the other hand it's very exclusive.

Same here. I was expecting more than a heavily facelifted Murcielago!
but nevertheless.. this doesn't chang the fact that it's absolutely scary! I think it's quite possible that we're gonna see it in the new Batmovie next year. Remember that Wayne's free time car was a Murcielago in the last movie

Yeah man. Especially after all the hype. We read about stuff like 20 units, Veyron pricing and jet fighters. I though this was going to look nothing like the current Lambo cars. Heck a LP640 is comes at a quarter of the price for this Reventón. Don't really know if I'd pay 1 million euro for this car.
I guess it's manufactured for Lambo collectors.

I see much more F117 in it than F22 to be honest. The car is very angular just like the stealth, while the F22 still has soft flowing surfaces.
