So the purpose of this thread is for you to think of your favourite german brand out of the big 3..
And then think out if there is ANY vehicle that some of the other 2 make that you feel is a better car than the equivalent from your favourite brand..

PS
There are cars that dont have any competition from other brands..
Like CLS at this moment...
Obviously these cars are not relevant..


So state your fav brand, and the car you think is better from the 2 others..

And if you think your fav brand is unbeatable.. please write why..

Saying that a car from another brand is better does not mean you will choose it over your fav brands car, in real life..

My fav brand MB ( duh)

Following cars from audi and bmw are better than what MB makes..:

1er better than A class
M3 better than C63
X5 better than ML
Z4 better than SLK

A3 better than A class
A5 better than E coupe

Thats it..other than that i think MB make better cars than the competition..:)

But i wont choose it..i would choose what you got:D

thats the point.. saying a car is better from the other brand..does not mean you want it..

BMW fan.

C Class better then 3 Series for this generation, excluding M and AMG models.

SL better then 6 Series, if they even compete.

Audi S5 better then 3 Series coupe, non S Audi A5 is not. Hope that makes sense.

New E Class is better then E60 BMW 5 Series, but different generations of vehicles so not really worth mentioning.

CL doesn't have a competitor but if it did I would most likely still consider the CL to be better, really a great luxury coupe.

Ill say the following

1er and a3 better then A.

X5 better then Ml in interior and handling..Comfort Ml.

For the rest i View MB better and i prefer the C63 anyday over a M3 sedan..

Artist nice thread mate...

current Z4 better then Current slk lets see what the new one does..I dont like the hood on the Z4 it looks nice in pics but in real it looks wierd.

Favorite Brand: MERCEDES-BENZ

Why: Because I have never seen a brand that I actually like every car that they produce. Their amazing history, reputation, quality, engineering, road presence, luxury features and technology are simply mind blowing. And the fact that they have the S-class...it is the reason for my loyalty.

Who can beat their line up:

Infiniti G37 > C-class (excluding the 63AMG Model) because it offers more room and a more powerful V6.

Infiniti M56 > E550 because the M56 is more powerful with a cheaper price tag

Bentley Mulsanne > S600 (Notice I didn't put the S65AMG because it is unbeatable by any sedan on EARTH) because it offers more exclusivity and has much more presence.

Bugatti Veyron > SLS because the Bugatti is the ULTIMATE Sports car on earth and 16 cylinders is UNBEATABLE

Bentley Brooklands > CL600 because it's bigger and has a more supreme look to it and it's a BENTLEY for heaven sakes.

Range Rover Sport > ML63/550 because the ML is starting to show it's age.

Infiniti FX > R-class not that they are direct competitors, but the FX comes off as a better looking crossover.

Unbeatable Benzes - S65AMG, CL65AMG, SL65AMG, CLS65AMG, GL550 and the G63AMG

:t-banghea I forgot you said from the other two (Audi and BMW). Well personally I like the 7 series, X6, 5GT and 5 series as well as the OLD A8, A5/S5, R8 and Q5. Unfortunately as nice as they are none of them could "BEAT" and Mercedes-Benz. In cases of looks the 5 series wins over the E-class....but that does mean it BEATS it in other elements.

Benz just has a certain level of sophistication and supreme history to be "beaten" by any other German competitior. They're Benzes for heaven sake. Top of the Automotive food chain IMO. Really why would I want a 3 series over a C-class...or a A8 over a S-class? I can even picture that. 5 series might tempt me though...even so the M56 would get it first.

Benz is just an absolute automotive super power...it just is...

the only audi or BMW you would pic over a equall MB is the 5 series over the E class..?

My motivation?

Well to start with i like the looks of it more..
The E coupe is damn expensive aswell..and it really is a E coupe.. its very similar to the E class..
And it doesent seem so agile..its seems more of a luxu coupe..and in this segment agile coupes are preferable..

The A5 might be the best thing audi came up with since then RS4..
 
I'm a Mercedes-Benz fan.

The M3 is superior to the C63 (better balance, available in manual, revvs more freely and higher)
The M5 is superior to the E63 (see the above, make it x5 except for the gearbox),
The 1er and A3 are vastly, vastly superior to the A-Class (look better, way better comfort/sport ratio, better seating position, better engines, ...)
The A5 and especially S5 is superior to the E-Coupe (in terms of look here, as a car I'd prefer the E-Coupe but I can't get past how poor it looks compared to the stunning S5)

The Range-Rover is superior to the GL (design, luxury, ambiance).

This is what comes to my mind right now in terms of direct competitors being better than an MB model.
 
I am a BMW fan and this is how I feel:

The S is superior to the 7er: Presence, Design (not interior design), Heritage, Luxury
The C is somehow superior to the 3er: Design and Luxury feel for the same amount of money
 
The only BMW or Audi i'd take over an equivalent MB model is the 1er or A3 over A/B class,honestly for the rest i'd take the MB over any other.

Okay here goes:

As mentioned before im a fan of all german cars especially MB, BMW and AUDI but I have always had that little bit more interest in Mercedes because when I was young we had an E class and so I had more interest towards mercs.

A bit of a maths lesson lol

1 series > Audi A3 > A class

C class > Audi A4 = 3 series LCI

E class > Audi A6 facelift > BMW E60

E class = F10 5 series > Audi A6

S class ≥ 7 series > Audi A8

E coupe ≥ Audi A5 = 3er coupe

3er cabrio = A5 cabrio > E cabrio

X5 > Q7 facelift > ML

Z4 > SLK > TT

M3 > C63 saloon

C63 saloon = M3 saloon

Now its difficult to choose some cars based on what you asked for Kash. For example the M3 saloon or coupe would handle better and go round tracks better than a C63 and as a sports car would be better than the merc (thats not to say the C63 cant go round bends) but then everyone should be posting their opinions based on what AMS or Autocar say in their test drive reviews. I havent driven the C63 or M3 so I cant say which one I think is better so some some views will become subjective.

Q5>GLK>X3
S5> E92 3 Coupe
CLS>SL>CL>6er
XF> E Klasse > E60 5er
A3 > 1 series coupe

Thats all I can think of atm
 
Lol, an emo thread looking for acceptance from the other team? :D

Anyway, I will pick S4 over 335 and D3 S8 over 750 and I know this not fair, but I will pick R8 V10 over any BMW or MB. As for MB, I think the E63 is better than the old M5, though I will still pick the M5 for the engine. And SL over 6er cab.
 
^Nah its more to see if ppl are even capable of admitting something else is better..

And to see if there really are german car fans here or..
Ppl that should belong in Bimmerforum and MB world..and are just here cause they like the fight;)

Please ppl like i said.. only cars that have equall competition..
And GERMAN TRIO only...
