A3, or 1er?


Audi A3 cabrio:





BMW 1er cabrio:

Bimmer by a huge margin, Tha A3 is a box not a cab.

1er all the way, much better styled, better engines and chassis.

the color Eni posted is so ugly, this green is better




but I prefer LeMans Blue with M-package

Hate the high sitting butt on A3 and copy and paste A5/A4's rear lights... Lack of imagination? Something like that.

1er for me. Better looking rear, side profile, loving it's interior more. Headlights are too big though.

A3 despite my hatred towards hatch-based cabriolets. It's still the less ugly of the two, in my opinion.

Neither. I'm not a fan of cabrios. I think they both look decent but not enough to make them attractive in my eyes. If I had to choose I'd take the 1er because of the engines and RWD.

Oh, i'm not a fan of cabrios too, many of you know that. If i must pick, i pick 1er. But wouldn't buy one... Never!

The A3 is more...cute I would say, but it is not original at all, already seen, so copy-pasted it is boring. Too bad. The rear is too massive, also.

So 1er, by a great margin.

Still hate the ridiculously too big front lights of the 1er, not a fan of its banana-like side profile, and the rear is not really well integrated to the rest of the car...Or is it the front which does not go with the back?

But the car is more original, does not look like a sedan with cutted-roof, and just appeals much more to me. The 1er just wants you to open the roof and drive in the sun, with its cool low side line and low back end.

The A3 has a rear that is too short, too high, too massive, the sideline too high, and the rear protective archs are just so badly integrated...

I like them both but I need to drive them before deciding, Love the wedge shape of the A3 but the 1er looks is also distinctive. Interior wise I think the A3 wins here.

Honestly, I haven't any affection for either.

That being said, I'll take the BMW as it's RWD, and as far as I'm concerned, looks a tad better.

Exterior: Tie. 1er has the better shape but the Audi looks more stylish.


Interior: A3 wins easily, the 1er interior looks quite sub-premium.

Overall: 1er cabrio for me.


Like Martin said the A3 cabrio is quite feminine and the body shape isn't sexy. Unlike the 1er cabrio which is a coupe, the A3 cabrio is a hatchback convertible.

The 1er does it for me. The A3 looks like a boxed car.

I like them both.

Either would make the perfect 16th birthday gift for a preppy girl from the San Fernando Valley.

That's why I don't like it. It's for hairdressers or a gang of four 16 years old girls going on a short road trip to a Miss Sixty factory outlet located on the out skirt of the city.

I just can't picture myself driving that car, which is why I voted for the 1er bimmer even though I don't find it be as fresh looking as the Audi.

But honestly, the Mini Cooper S with Works-tuning will be the best choice

I share opinion with Luwalira, in general 1-er but interior little nicer from A3.

The A3 looks good isolated but compared to the 1-series it looks quite out of proportions. Audi is perhaps a bit more girly but then again so are both so perhaps the Audi does a better job...

Initially, I was going to vote for the A3 but just having a look at the comparison shots, I voted for the 1er. IMO, it looks better, especially the rear.

I DONT THINK I CAN VOTE FOR on this one... I despise both these cars so much...i hate cheap cabrios..they are not made for car buffs...they're made more for people who know nothing about cars and are just in awe of how the top is able to go down...hopefully no one on our foum gets either of these

I can't vote here,two very feminine cars like i said before and i don't like evetrything about the two cars:

1er like it's rear and RWD.
A3 like it's front and int.

Will pass this time on voting.

I voted for the A3 it's not as good looking as other Audi's but still a bit better than 1 series cabrio.

The Audi lacks RWD, lacks fantastic amazing engine, and, most of all, looks like an old Fiat Punto cabrio.

IMO, the BMW is a man's car, and the Audi a woman's. Easy voting here.
