Hi, I have a decision to make within the next 8 months or so.

I'm contemplating buy a car in Boston for about 2 years or so. Right now my options are either

1) C63 (the most likely)
2) X6 (don't know when itll be released so dont know)
3) 335 Xi (I saw the new coupe in person and it is GORGEOUS)
4) ML63

Please suggest any other options you may have.
I must say though please no 3 series, X5 (too bland IMO), no Q7 (already have one back home), no M5 (previous reason). I'm open to suggestions as long as their practical. New England weather is horrible and would really like something I could use regularly.
I've seen an Aston Vantage and loved it but its slightly out of my price range and ohhh so unpractical.

335i is the most bang for the buck but its pretty common car now. C63 or X6 :)

You need to show Boston how you roll like a stunner. Do like Nevada Jack, choose a Benz. You need to be flossin' in a car with a wide body and a V8. C63 suits you perfect.

Nice range of choises... and quite wide spread.

C63 will be really big in the US, expercially the non-sport version. I would go for the X6 though, if available or maybe another Benz, the CLS 63 AMG!

Since you don't consider the M3 (why, BTW?) but only the 335i, i would go for a C63 if i wanted sheer power, but the 335 has the best value for it's money!

Overall, C63 for me!

:t-cheers:

Ml63 over the C63. Boston does have a lot of pot holes which are not so nice for low profile tires. 4WD and extra ground clearance would also be good in the winter snow.

Since the weather seems to be of concern, I would suggest the following from your list:

X6 if you want an elevated vehicle that give you the presence of an SUV and the driving characteristics of car. The driving part is purely speculative of course.
335xi is indeed a good choice. Another option you mind want to consider since you have a car as an option will be the RS4 over the C63 AMG. The RS4 like the 335xi will offer you the flexibility that you need during unfavourable weather system. I believe the AWD system might be a better option if like you mentioned have plans to use it all year round.

With all my rambling though, my preference will be the X6.

An X6 sounds like a good choice, but I'm sure you'd be happy with any car from that list!

If you got the money, get the C63 Yo.

btw..GrimReaper if I remember correctly, you're from india right?

Thanks for the replies and I'm going to try and answer everybody.

To all those who said the X6, I love the car but the problem is that since I'm just studying here, I won't be in the US for long so really can't wait according to when the X6 will be released. If released by March-April 2008 then perfect.

About the E63 or CLS63, to be honest, after the C63, those two cars just don't hold my interest.

The E92 M3, I have no particular reason other than that I like the C63 more and I feel that the M3 wouldn't be THAT much more different than the M5.

The RS4? Same reason as the M3. Like the C63 much much more.

The X6M would've been perfect but again, on a time constraint.

P.S. Naruto, Yeah I'm from India but I'm in Boston doing my undergrad.

^M division is gonna make a SUV car? isn't that against the M philosphy?:D

In two years, a little bit more if i'm not mistaken. M version probably later.

I guess Tycoon that in two years time, or a little bit more if you like, our friend GrimReaper will have finished his studies, he will have got a job, get a new house, find a woman, get married and have two children, if not three! So the X6 launch is too far away :D
