XJ Jaguar XJ Picture Thread

The Jaguar XJ is a series of mid-size/full-size luxury cars produced from 1968 to 2019. It was produced across four basic platform generations (debuting in 1968, 1986, 2003, and 2009) with various updated derivatives of each. From 1970, it was Jaguar's flagship four-door model. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have been designed under the leadership of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder, and the model has been featured in countless media and high-profile appearances.

I can't believe i'll say this, but i'm falling in love with this car...:icondrool Just look that interior... The quality feel must be amazing... I'm also warming up to that C6 looking rear...

:t-cheers:

No one can argue that it is a beautiful and strong...even agressive design.
The French rear may be a bit akward, though not ugly.
When I first saw the interior I thought OMG! BUT the more I look at it, the more messy it looks, too much contrast between past, present and future and too busy!

F01 = Better balanced design

S-class = Better interior, at least more tidy.

Next A8.....???

Exterior is a mix of excellent and "okay different", resulting in very good overall.
Interior however, is exceptional. I must say I'd much rather have it than any of the current germans.

The exterior looks like three different people designed it....

The front has an aggresive and for the most part great look.

the profile is a little plain with the terrible looking pillars

And the rear is a disaster if you ask me. Doesn't look like it has anything to do with the rest of the car. Too much Lincoln and Citroen here. There is no "class" to the rear. It's like they had to hurry up and finish.

Suspension ala F01!?!

In the video of the XF showcasing the front and rear suspension I saw that the Adaptive Spring Struts and the rear axle Air Spring struts look the same as in the F01 7er.

Attached pics shows those of the F01 - 750Li

The rear does seem the weakest part but I must say overall its a great looking car inside and out. The problem now is that because the car looks soo good, even if the car drives crap, every UK car mag is going to praise the jag soo much (think scott/eni and bmw) there going to make it sound like its 10 times better than the S class and 7er!

Does it matter if they look the same?

No not at all, it was just for interest sake....something wrong with that?

PS: Mazerati lines are strong across the nose of the XJ, viewed from the street scene pics.

Na, nothing wrong with that, it is just that people don't normally notice these things.

Why I find it interesting is that it looks if Jaquar uses the same damper component supplier as BMW. This could give a broader idea of the drive setup etc... The handeling and comfort thus could be in the same league as the F01...

Just a thought, guess we wil find out soon!
