It strikes me how the government (which didn't bother to save it) isn't even concerned with preserving its history. An auction of everything, even the banners used at auto shows, the scale models, the prototypes used for testing, the last eight complete models—basically, selling it off piecemeal—is causing its history to vanish into dozens of private hands, like a hardware store that goes bankrupt and is invaded by buyers of cheap junk.

Considering that Saab manufactured fighter jets for the government, the neglect is even worse. I wonder what happened to that aeronautical division?

A very sad end, one that many companies aren't immune to given the Chinese invasion and all the current regulatory and economic impositions.
