E-Class (W211) NEW E-Class Model: E230

The Mercedes-Benz W211 is the third generation of the E-Class range. Made from 2002 to 2009 in sedan/saloon (W211) and station wagon/estate (S211) configurations – replacing the W210 E-Class models and superseded by the Mercedes-Benz W212 in 2009. Production: January 2002 – April 2009 (sedan), February 2002 – June 2009 (station wagon).
It costs 40.698,00 € (the E 280 costs 42.066,50 €).

Re: new engine: E 230
I personally think this is a good move.
There was always such a big "gap" between the E200 Kompressor and the E240 / E280. With the E230, this gap has been closed, so I feel.
The performance looks to be on par with the old E240 (2.6-l V6), except better. And we all know this engine is much peppier and alive than the V6 found in the C240, E240 and CLK240. It was really showing its age.
One more thing, the E280 replaced the E240, so this E230 is really a new model.
