| Keyless-Go? Was just wondering if someone would mind giving me a sanity check here, but as far as I can tell the UK spec E Class coupe (or saloon for that matter) isn't available with a keyless go option - is that right? Is it something that is likely to appear further down the road? It's by no means a total dealbreaker for me - but it is one of the creature comforts that I was really looking forward to in my next car (along with adaptive cruise). |

| Well, since the E-Coupe is based on the C, keyless go isn't available - yet. Same goes with the GLK. I remember when the ML and R came out without it, now they both have them as an option. So they'll eventually get it, just not now. It's a shame that MB can't throw in this feature as standard. I mean how expensive could it be when a $20k cars have them now.

Seems a particuarly daft omission to me when the obvious competitors to the E coupe (BMW 3-coupe, A5) have equivalent systems as options - plus a whole load of other more downmarket cars are getting that sort of thing as standard now here too. I'll probably be going for a test drive in the E coupe sometime soon anyway so I'll quiz them when I do - just wondered if any of the UK peeps who had bought one happened to know if it was an option that just didn't appear on the website or in the brochure for whatever reason.

| I thaught the drivetrain was from the C-class, you learn something every day.

| Well don't take it as gospel! Of course it may not be entirely accurate, but it's certainly one of the more believable claims I've seen regarding how much of the e coupe is actually from the c. Not that it really matters to me. If it is as comfortable and refined to drive and has all the same bells and whistles as a regular e class (which most of the reviews I've read indicate is the case) then it doesn't really matter if some of the structural and/or mechanical innards are technically from the c class. It just goes to show that those parts of the c are obviously getting made to pretty much the same standard as the e. Oh and as it happens, the regular E class appears to be missing Keyless-Go in the UK too! |

| its a whole mish mash of E and C in the E coupe, But im sure atleast 60-70% of internals are C class to cut costs.

| There is a Keyless Go Option in UK. Just check the owners online manual Not every option is mentioned in the online configuration! |

Unfortunately, according to MB Customer Services today, keyless-go is not available in the UK due to “insurance companies not accepting it”, “compatibility with the Z protection(?)”, .... Don't ask me why, I'm still suffering the knock back! I wonder if there will ever be an option to fit after delivery?

| Hmm well that sucks. What a strange reason not to offer the option when you can order it just fine on other MB models! That said I have recently been developing a bit of a soft spot for the new (to the UK at least) Infiniti G coupe and it's folding metal cabrio version too. OK so a 3.7 litre petrol isn't quite as practical for my commute as a the CDI 250 or 350 Perhaps by the time I'm ready to take the plunge with a new car, MB will have sorted this strange no-keyless go nonsense - but a G30d coupe would certainly be an alternative I would definitely consider too. |

I like to think of it as I did the CLK, a C coupé with an E appearance package.
