A nice SLK interior too..... superb!

Yee Haa indeed- That's what I'm saving up for!

The interior shot you posted is not a 55 though!

Here's a couple of pics from the SLK55's safety car interior I love the two tone leather up the centre console, the alcantara headliner, carbon fibre trim pieces and the seats. If only they were options on the production version! (sigh)

Oh and having driven one, I can definately say that 4.9s for 0-100/0-62 is VERY conservative! :icon_cool

Beautiful car overall. Trully fast & furious. two tone leather suits the car well.

i thought that engine was N/A. The 5.4 producing 360 horse power wasn't forced induction while the 5.5 in the E class was making 470 bhp.

I missed that! Good attention to detail Matt! The SLK55 does indeed use the non supercharged version of the M113 v8. As they are slowly phasing out this engine, it is believed that the SLK will have the new 6.3l/510hp v8 in a couple of years! :eusa_danc

Yep there is no Kompressor in the SLK55.

I dont know about choosing the SLK over the SL.... lets not get crazy now.... :t-rot:

Why not? That would be the sensible choice! It's faster, lighter, cheaper, newer, looks fresher, handles better, and doesn't feel like a boat when you drive it. It's particularly apparent if you drive the SL before the SLK.

Before I start a row, that's only my point of view! ;)

Also you can fit an SLR engine in there, as that guy from Dubai did, but no one believed him!

Its a matter of preference, for me the SL55 with 500hp, is th way to go. bigger and classier, just a matter of taste i guess.... but lets see what a poll would say?

Here's the poll --->POLL SLK55 or SL55
