Charger The Dodge Charger - I just love it.

The Dodge Charger is a model of automobile marketed by Dodge in various forms over eight generations since 1966. The first Charger was a show car in 1964. A 1965 Charger II concept car resembled the 1966 production version. In the United States, the Charger nameplate has been used on mid-size cars, personal luxury coupes, subcompact hatchbacks, and full-size sedans.

I'm pretty embarrassed to say this, but I think the Charger looks really good. Especially the SRT-8 version. The shape is so unique, it has a very small glass greenhouse so it looks really sleek, and yet bulging from almost everywhere are literally muscles - the rear windows, for instance, give way to huge wheel arches that extend to the rear.

I like the muscle in this car - it's rough, unkempt, has no attention to detail at all, is inefficient, offensive and brash - that is what makes this car quite simply desirable because its so simple and to the point - big engine, RWD, lots of power and there you go, the quintessential American hotrod.

I can't say much about the interior.. I actually hate it a lot, but heck, who bothers about that when the car's so dang cheap? (at least from what I infer from the 300C SRT8 in S'pore) Cheap in the sense that you get loads of power and bucketfuls of style for a fraction of more expensive exotic brands.

This car is also probably the antithesis of German cars... I just can't believe myself, it's so ironic. What do you guys think?

We all have our tastes, right? :usa7uh:

Anyhow, i'm not going to comment that car, but i'd like to ask a question: Do those Americans know that the Xenon headlights are a MUST for this kind of car???:t-crazy2: :t-banghea

I've noticed that many, in fact 90% of new American cars don't have xenons but those 60yo looking headlights... Who can explain me that?!

:t-cheers:

Well we all have our sinful desires and my desire is to own a Hummer with 24 inch chromed out rims. No joke. I know everything about the car is wrong, the weight, interior but the exterior and the design is so big, powerful and masculine(and no, I'm not attracted to men).

No need to do that, I like this car a lot along with the 300C SRT-8. These cars are all the rage on the streets here. There is nothing wrong with liking non-German cars, that is what makes you a car enthusiast. It would be mightly boring to only like German cars IMO. This car even shares some of its DNA with a certain German car!

I think the Charger RT is one of the better American cars i have ever driven.... A little lumpy and bouncy on turns at high speed, but a very good looking and aggressive drive... A great seller too... :t-cheers:

I can. These hotrods are nothing about technology and it's all about ruffin' it out with good ol' halogens. :D

Have u read my review on the 300C SRT-8? It's some car... :usa7uh:

Yeah, I think with the E-Class? I'm not too sure.

Does anyone know if this Charger is related to the 300C? American cars are really interesting. :usa7uh:

Is the SRT-8 version in limited production? I know there's the the one with the 3.5L V6 as well as the 5.7L HEMI V8, how do those do in sales?

It's too bad we're not getting this model in Europe, even with the re-introduction of Dodge brand here... I think it looks quite good indeed.

Limited and they sell out.

I love the front end of the Charger. So much so that I made this, and made a more attractive Magnum SRT8 :)

Xenons are not some uber technology that can only be seen on Bentleys and RRs and such...:D

I don't think we're getting this too. The only reason that I can think of that explains this is that European and Asian markets have problems accepting the styling and the nature of the car.

Maybe you're right, I think since the Charger shares parts with the 300C (which is equipped with xenons), it deserves it too. But then, we could also say these cars should have at least LEDs.

LEDs - doesn't matter to me, but xenons...C'mon, man, even the cheapest cars of today have them. And we're talking here about serious car, not some 10k worth piece of junk.

:t-cheers:

i love this car...and the new charger cop cars are pretty bad ass...plus mercedes volkswagen still douesn't have xenons on the jetta...and don't say cause its cheap because u can get one of these for the price of those

I've always thought it was a great looking vehicle, especially the SRT-8 version, looks menacing :usa7uh:

6.1 litre V8 with 425bhp :D
