The Porsche Panamera is a mid to full-sized luxury car (E-segment or F-segment for LWB in Europe) manufactured and marketed by Porsche. The Panamera name, as with the Carrera name, is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race.

According to German tabloid www.bild.de, Porsche is currently developing a sport sedan positioned beneath the Panamera which is due for a 2016 introduction. In the short bild.de article, there was no further mention of details such as platform matrix, etc.

I assume a more detailed article will appear in tomorrows' edition of Autobild.

All Porsche models are successful and VAG have several time iterated their intentions to boost sales figures, particularly for Porsche.

It's on the website:

When you click on the link it goes to a page that shows that there new platform will be the basis four a four dour, a coupe and and convertible. Looks like they are gearing up to take on the CLS, 5er and 6er.

To be honest, still think this is the segment Panamera should have been in in the first place.
