LFA [Official] Lexus LF-A Supercar (Production Version)

This is definitely LFA 2. It sounds different in the midrange than the LFA. It begins to sound like an LFA once it hits very high revs. My guess is a bigger V10 engine.

This LFA and the IS-F must definitely be the enxt generations LFA and IS-F, or just the SC-F or LF-LC, whatever they call it.

Wow! I am stunned. It looks so aggressive. The stance is insane. It looks like it will eat anything up. Best looking exotic supercar of today.

With 375 rear tires this one should have no launch problems.

Unfortunately, width plays smaller role in the ability to grip the pavement and more helpful in keeping the car flat through corners. The compound and tread pattern (the bigger the blocks, the grippier they are) are the only important factors as far as dry asphalt grip goes.

Cool video. LFA looks very 'tiny' next to the Aventador.

I like that the LFA is "tiny" as you say. That must be the main reason for its remarkable handling. By the size the LFA the tiniest supercar after the F1. Should be lots of fun on the highway or in town to swerve to right and left between the cars. I wish the Supra successor have the same short and low dimensions.

LFA's exhaust note, hands down.

That's probably the same LFA found revving next to the Aventador. Sign say "Pittsburgh", plus that yellow Aventador could be DoctaM3's (don't know his tag) since he spotted that same LFA:

I wonder if he knows him/her since they're both in the same area I think?

I read some of the comments in the comment sections of the videos and it does look like they know each other. They get together a lot in Pittsburgh car meets.

Had dinner with 2 Lexus LFA owners last might. I asked them why the bought this car over a Ferrari 599 GTO which is in the same $400k price range. Answer? Lexus reputation for quality, reliability and outstanding dealer service. Plus some amazing factory perks like private track time st the Nurburgring. Lexus did it right and I'm impressed with their overall approach in how they've jumped into the supercar market.

So it looks like the reasons of traditional Lexus values (quality/reliability/service) have made an impression. As owners continue to take delivery, we get a sense of who is buying these cars: It's for people who either don't really care about alternatives and can appreciate what the Lexus offers, or they already have some alternatives. And quite obviously, many are not treating them as garage queens, never to be seen by the public eye. Interesting how some would rate this car as merely a "fast sports car," not even worthy of the supercar tag, while others place it an even higher category. This, from Autocar's website:

I rate the LFA as "just a car". But damn, what a car! The best car since the object with four wheels exists.

Found on the net what an LFA owner thinks about his LFA transmission:

"Spot on - drives like an F1 race car (sounds like one as well) it is very powerful. I also have a Porsche that does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, the Lexus feels faster on highway.
.....

Awesome. I have never been in a car that handles so well over 150 mph. Stays on the road, you can maneuver just fine and she still wants to go.
...

(In fastest shift mode) the LFA is crazy fast on the shift. In sport mode - it feels super fast. "

8/1/12 - Unleash the LFA
