I believe and wish it has to be the next gen (W223) S-Class with bigger and more prominent grille & up right stance! (y)(y)(y)

Looks a lot like this concept from the past.

Interesting design, but it doesn't look like a Mercedes Benz, the grill design and lights and tiny 3 pointed star on bonnet, not elegant at all. Side view looks good. U-Class for Ugly Class?

Suspect the Mercedes-Benz U 600 sedan concept was designed at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena? :)

Of course it has nothing to do with Mercedes-Benz officially but conceptually I would not be surprised if such a concept minus the U-Klasse designation is under initial conceptual development at Mercedes-Benz. Especially since the appearance of the BMW Vision Future Luxury concept.
At its debut in Beijing it was surrounded by the who's who of the premium market segment all eager to see how this car which is no open secret relates to the next 7er and especially how that will eventually turn out.
And of course show the inevitability on where the luxury market could go.

An extended S-Klasse might not be enough.

Exactly! Hence I wish the next gen S class should adopt a similar distinct styling.

BTW, U-class may already be taken? Here's a picture of a Mercedes-Benz U 1300. :)

Please. Not everything at Mercedes Benz revolves in the context of what's happening at BMW.

Action-Reaction , Cause and Effect. With the growth in the luxury market today , you know its going to happen ,such models are inevitable. So we will have this conversation in a few years.
Just as we are now about the Concept SUV Coupe , again Action - Reaction , cause and effect. It would not be here if not for the BMW X6 and its success.

I like it very much, need to wait for more finalised details if they get everything right the U-Class could be an outstanding vehicle.
