Why is that screen so small?

In the C-class there are two screen sizes based on whether you get Multi media package or not. I would imagine this is why.

The car is so beautifull in those videos, cant imagine how the 63 will look like. I ve never expected the FL to be that nice.

BTW why is everyone so worried about the size of the nav screen? It doesnt has to be a 31" tv.
Its a car not a living room.

Don't act like M-B are doing something everybody else is. Design leaders such as BMW and Audi are doing very little facelifts, because they don't need to do too much, because the designers have foresight and don't deem the previous models as too weak.

I don't know why you keep saying this, since it's quite obviously not true. The B8 A4/A5 just got an entirely new front end, the C6 A6 got a redesigned rear and the 8P A3 received large changes to it's front as well during it's lifetime. The F20 1 Series is slated to get a new front end and the E90 received changes to both it's front and rear end come facelift time.

In regards to Audi, their changes don't look so starkly different as M-B's do. Hell, the new A6 looks extremely similar to the model it replaces.

BMW DID do some extensive facelifts, and will continue to correct sub-par designs, like the F20 front, but look at the F01, very minimal changes. Most of their well received newer cars are very evolutionary in terms of changes. The F10 is purportedly going to be very slightly refreshed as well.

Porsche? Look at the Panamera spy pics, hard to tell any differences which means it's already ahead of M-B there, since M-B facelifts are so apparent you can tell right through the chamo.

It's all growing on me more. I just hate the headlights and Star grille implementation on the W212 body is all. Without those it would have been a true winner IMO.

My beef here isn't really in the design, it's just in M-B's management and how they've bastardized the previous version by visually practically admitting defeat. It just makes it hard to trust the current team.

Other than that, I don't hate the facelift at all. With the quad lights, the facelifted Luxury/Classic grille, and maybe not such an immature and OVERLY rounded front bumper, it would be perfect.

I'll happily take that interior upgrade as well.

I knew something looked better on that photo you posted!

The headlight LED slants look much smoother and better integrated in the Coupe. They look too jarringly carved and somewhat clunky on the Sedan model, IMO.

Big change from before where the quad headlights looked so proper on the Sedan and so awkward and forced, and "not quite there" on the Coupe.

1. I agree with you completely. We have Elegance, thank goodness. But, what I hate to see is that MBUSA puts Avantgarde in focus, for now.

2. Oh man, that was my dream too, classic grille and quad lights with those 'C-shape' LED style, like on the Concept Fascination.

And question is: Do you want to replace your PRE FL with this new one? Yes, I know that you need to see it IRL first.

Gee, that was easy. It's almost like their strategies are exactly the same.

they have 2 different screens, the smaller is for the standard audio and measures 14,7cm, the bigger is for the command online and has a 17,8 display.

Haha, yeah I do need to see it IRL, but definitely not. And it has nothing to do with how good or bad it looks, I've just had 2 W212's and ready to move on. Also, I really want to keep my next car "for a while" (which is what I always say but it never sticks) and I just don't entrust M-B keeping "my car" timeless going forward after such a drastic change here with my W212. One reason I really want Porsche is their evolutions are so classy, so iconic, they keep people on a string yet don't bastardize old models with frantic facelifts and so on.

I'm "worried" that MBUSA won't offer the Elegance grille in the States. They said they're only reserving that grille option for "more conservative markets like Germany", and won't even offer it in the UK. Considering in the States they practically shove the AMG Sports Package down everybody's throats (of course people want the AMG Package so M-B is seemingly now more than happy to whore it out), I have a feeling we might not even get the option for that beautiful facelifted interpretation of the beautiful luxury/elegance grille.

The S-Class will be the only M-B left with it, it seems.

What's wrong with Dubstep? M-B need to prove they're not geriatric anymore, so they go with the flavor of today! (funny thing is Dubstep is already becoming passe, once again time moves on and M-B lacks timelessness. ).
