taken Yesterday for the production version being tested in Dubai, sorry for the shaky photos the driver was stepping on it like some1 was chasing him

I did notice that the headlights on this version look alot like the s sedan's headlights (2 eyes on each side) unlike the concept version.... maybe it will be offered here as an option ...am not sure

I must say: That swirly-foil camo is quite effective in masking the cars' sculpturing.

One can just barely detect the form of the rear window, which appears to mimic that of the Concept show car. And the side glass continues to appear quite shallow, leaving me hopeful that the enticingly low-slung appearance of the Concept will be retained. The swirly-foil seems to cover the trim piece at the base of the side glass-and not the glass itself. The base of the side mirrors would also indicate such.

Perhaps that alleged mere 10mm boost in roof height will not be that apparent after all. Or, the height of the roof will remain identical to that of the show car (which I will certainly prefer). We shall know soon enough...

I think in production guise the extra height will seem natural. The greenhouse of the concept looks extremely shallow. Beautiful and sporty no doubt but probably a bit impractical for a luxury coupe.

From this angle the Mercedes is a more attractive car to my eyes although I thought the other way sometime ago. Cadillac is a very attractive car but Mercedes is more sculpted and more aggressive. This coupe has grown on me and quite quickly although I found its nose uncomfortable in the beginning. And the interior of the S coupe concept is better than any RR or Bentley 2 doors or 4 doors imo. Now I wish that Mercedes wouldn't change a bit on this coupe and make it into production as it is in the concept form. Somehow I am afraid that it may go the same way as the CLA. The concept was mind boggling pretty and the production wasn't.

I love the steering wheel on the Coupe concept. It reminds me of the old school Mercedes steering design from W100 / W108 era. Beautiful!

That clocks could easily be displayed in Comand, I'm guessing this will be a very practical storage bin or cup holder in the production model :-)

Did you watch the press conference today? Dieter Zetsche drove onto the stage in the S-Class Coupe Concept. :)
The production version is still scheduled for the Geneva Auto Show in March.
