I still think the overall scale and proportions are much more 1st Gen X6...Hard to say until I see the MB Concept Coupe in the metal....which will be soon.....

PS: Kudos to @EnI who was the first to spot the short bottom of this car when compared to the X6.

You cannot blame anyone for wanting to emulate the 250,000 sales the X6 has generated especially for an intended low volume niche model. We showed a F16 X6 to some X6 owners in Shanghai and yesterday in Beijing and them seem very happy with the next generation. Which we hope we can retain these customers in light of advances from Mercedes and all.

The X6 was intended to be an Anomaly. People either got it or they did not. The thing for Mercedes is when people look at this concept they will think about the X6. And for that the headline of something new and innovative is lost .
The X6 was the car that broke the boundaries of the wall of convention and allowed the market to accept and grow the potential of a sports activity coupe.

The marketing illustrated the breaking the boundaries concept perfectly and you have to admire a company that payed for a film crew to fly to Dubai just because We needed Camels, lots of camels.

I sort of like it, would be lying if I didn't. But that's mostly because it looks like the E71 (1st gen) X6.

Look how that grille is sticking out from the side view though. WTF is that!!! I DISLIKE THE FRONT!!!
