Just ordered my E Coupe ...

I know I mentioned last year that I had ordered a C63 AMG, well I changed my mind when the car arrived for 2 reasons which are related to the A-hole sales rep I was dealing with at Fletcher Jones Mercedes: He was trying to pressure me to agreeing to his ridiculous deal terms, and he kept mentioning that the car was going to be sold in the same day if I hadnt agreed to the deal he put on the table. And obviously since im not that crazy kid I used to be whom wouldnt care what the cost was as long as I ended up with the car I wanted in my driveway on the same day... Lets just say I was pissed, felt mistreated (SINCE I DID ORDER THE CAR THE WAY I EXACTLY WANTED IT AND LEFT A DEPOSIT JUST TO TAKE MY TIME AND GET THE GOOD DEAL I WAS LOOKING FOR)...

Anywho, bad things happen for good reasons, ive been super patient driving the X5 which I honestly hate to death, and well I have to admit ive been enjoying my brother's S5 since he's out of town , but the manual tranny does get annoying in L.A's daily traffic jam, I drive it pretty smoothly but its just not me ..

Im happy to announce that I just came from downtown L.A motors where I ordered the E550 coupe which will be at the dealership on August 7, fully loaded with sportline package, and Black on black ofcourse , unfortunately red interior is not available, but im happy. the sales rep I talked to is one who allways wanted to get his hands on me, and now that the guy I used to purchase my cars from does not work at MB, his patience has finally paid off i guess lol, he had to admit that he is looking to give me the best possible deal and do nothing to screw this up with me ...Im also getting some custom designed wheels done with my own clothing brand logo and name (RELOADED) exclusively for the E coupe, the wheel will be designed by me ofcourse, and as soon as the sample is done I will post up some pics for your feedback.

More over, I will be trading my girl's X5 for the W212 E350 sedan when my car arrives... FINALLY !!!! ugh!!!

So I just wanted to share this with all of you, your thoughts are most appreciated, looking forward to reading some posts.

Id also like to know what are your thoughts on the black(charcoal) interior, im having second thoughts because I really like the Almond Beige Premium I saw in person at the dealership.

Thats the problem, you cant get 2 tone in the coupe, only the sedan ... the coupe only gets the dash in black! The doors, seats, center console, etc are all tan, which is boring ...

The US customers seems to have limited number of choices when it comes to specifying their cars, I thought things would have improved with the launch of the new generation of cars. Was the 2 tone option on the Designo list?

The E-class Coupe is working but I haven't fallen for E-class Sedan, it doesnt have the beauty like previous E-class. Wait another year and the next generation 5-series will be for sale, its going to be a stunner.

Congratulations ALI . But personally I think you should've gone for C63. E coupe is more of a chick car IMO. But if you like it go for it. One more thing, it is not an easy thing for a guy to downgrade in terms of power. E63 is more powerful

I would love to pick up another E63, but I really want a coupe now.. Im thinking ill get the E63 facelift in 3 years or so ...

It really isnt that hard for me to downgrade anymore, its been one year since i last drove my E63 .. its actually considered an upgrade for me since ive been driving the X5 ..

I could have agreed with you until I saw the sedan for the first time IRL a few days ago, I think you should give it time to adjust to. Im anxious to see what bmw will do next with the 5er.

I never knew you actually liked the previous E class. I think the w212 is slightly better looking IMO which is enough considering how great the W211 design was .....

Congratulations Ali. You won't be disappointed. I've had my E-Coupe now for almost 3 weeks and each time I get in to go for a drive it's an event in itself. As for the comment from one of the posters that "it's a chicks car", well I can only assume they haven't seen the car in real life or they are blind. The car is much less of a "chicks car" than the Audi S5 (which I love by the way so not dissing it) but the E-Coupe (at least in my AMG spec) is much more aggressive and hard edged not just than the S5 or CLK but pretty much any other Coupe out there regardless of price.

If you are geeting the AMG spec too then I think the standard 18inch AMG rims work perfectly. I had serious concerns as to how the wheels would look whilst waiting for the car to arrive. I wanted to purchase 19 or 20inch rims as a standard fit but MB couldn't supply these so 18's were the largest I could have. After receiving the car I'm very happy with the standard 18's and think that since the ride is already quite firm that 19's or 20's would make the car too skitish even in Comfort mode.

I'm looking forward to seeing your own custom wheel design, but from what I've seen in the past they usualy look great to the person who created them but awful to the rest of the world. Let's see
