The Jaguar XE (X760) is a front engine, rear- or all-wheel drive four-door compact-executive saloon manufactured by Jaguar Land Rover and marketed under their Jaguar marque for model years 2016–2024 — across a single generation. Will update thread once better looking pics will be released. But for now...... MEH. It looks already dated in my book, specially the interior with some Chrysler vibes.

It has better be a hell of a drive because the interior looks really cheap and dated. The exterior is a winner though.

I'm watching the live stream, which is working now. It is taking place at Earl's Court, in West London, which is an iconic venue for many concerts over the years. I remember seeing Oasis play live there a few times in November 1995, along with about 20,000 other people, when I was 18. Great memories.

Blimey Charlie, they're putting in some effort with this though. Anybody would think they're trying to distract the audience from the car.

Except for the rear, I rather like the exterior, however, I do wish they did bring something additional to their styling repertoire.

I am disappointed with the interior, especially with what the new C-class has brought to the table. But compared to the 3er and current A4, it's par for the course. Here's hoping the new infotainment system now up to snuff.

Since this car is so crucial for Jag's survival, I hope for their sake this does sell well. In my eyes, thus far, it's a B- effort.

Interior looks like a modernised X-type crossed with a VW Golf. Not good.
Did I read that it was supposed to be a class leading interior?

Do like the exterior. Rear reminds me of A5 Sportback, though I think the exhausts/diffusor looks a bit weak for the S variant.

Fancy coinciding the reveal with England vs Switzerland Euro qualifier live on TV.

Though I suppose it would have been more of an issue had the Golf Open/Masters been on instead. ;)

Interior screams cheap. Exterior looks dated. this design would have been fine if it were released with the XJ, FOUR years ago...

A Bold statement from Autocar.
“The XE’s structure is absolutely at the cutting edge of what is achievable today,” says Mark White, Jaguar’s chief technical specialist. Given that a BMW 320d saloon weighs just over 1400kg and the original aluminium XJ saloon undercut its rivals by about 200kg back in the day, you’d expect a diesel XE to weigh between 1200 and 1250kg to extract a decent dividend from its exotic construction.

Like the F-Type , engineers from many premium manufacturers including BMW had that dismissed in a competitive autopsy.

Statement from Warburton about the interior:
“Their (Jaguar) only concerns are packaging – apparently the interior is small, due to the need to use box section aluminum in the sills for rigidity, so there is less room than in competitor cars. The interior is described as plain and of lesser quality as the competition.”
