I'm disappointed that Paul di Resta and Mercedes didn't win the championship.

Honestly, I think Mercedes-AMG needs to think long and hard about the 2009 season. They lost the 2007 and 2008 championships because they didn't get their cars working right away from the first race of the season.

Also, Audi played the team game much better than Mercedes in the second half of the season.

But no excuses, Mercedes lost and Audi won.

I hope a Mercedes driver wins the championship next year. If not, Mercedes should quit DTM. They shouldn't keep going if they are losers for three consecutive years.

I understand where you're coming from, but it was a very close run championship (the closest since 2003) and had Scheider dropped the ball today Di Resta would have made an equally worthy champion. It's also worth pointing out that Mercedes won five of the eleven races and the team championship too, so it's not like it was an Audi whitewash.

They won in 2005 and 2006, so they know how to win. Maybe the balance of power will shift again in 2009 (as much as I wouldn't like to see that happen as an Audi supporter!)
