B-Class [Official] 2016 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Facelift

Stuttgart. In terms of both design and technology, the second generation of the B-Class car has heralded a new compact class era at Mercedes-Benz. More than 350,000 of the sports tourer have been sold since the market launch in late 2011. Now the best-seller from Mercedes-Benz has undergone a major facelift including exterior and interior enhancements along with attractive, redefined design and equipment lines.

The breadth of choice is unique in this segment: five economical diesel models with consumption statistics ranging from 3.6 to 5.0 l/100 km, four efficient petrol engines at between 5.4 and 6.6 l/100 km, alternative drive systems (B 200 Natural Gas Drive and B-Class Electric Drive), as well as optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive. What is more, with a Cd value of less than 0.25 the sports tourer continues to be the role model for its class. Sales of the new B-Class commence on 12 September, with the world première taking place during the Paris Motor Show (4 to 19 October). The revamped models will be making their way to dealerships from 29 November 2014. Prices start from 27,102.25 euros for the B 180.

Looks like they have changed the screen position and its mounting? Do this for the CLA ASAP.

The screen will be the C Class type for the CLA in 2015. My only regret not waiting for the '15 and getting the '14. 7" Standard 8" optional.

The 2015 CLA doesn't arrive until December so there is a good chance we will see the screen change for the 2015 MY in the U.S. along with some of the other interior improvements.

Attached is the 2015 Dealer Ordering Guide. It's nice to see MB make changes to the car this quick. Notable changes in standard equipment now include: Keyless start, rear seat armrest, and the larger COMAND screens.

It looks great much better than pre facelift model, the front lights and grill changed to look a little like the A class and the back lights now mostly red with thin line for the indicators and reverse lights. The interior mildly changed and looks better also with the C class steering wheel and nice red ambient lighting. Red one with the AMG kit looks great. Only disappointment for me is no change to the engines.

I'm really glad they changed up the interior. Although it is likely there are still some nasty bits here and there, I would say it is good enough for what it is. I didn't mind the tacked-on screen that much, but this integrated solution does look much more complete.

Good stuff. You can get a nicely equipped CLA250 for about 36K.

I'm actually tempted to lease one now that they've fixed some of the gripes I had with this car at launch. But may just wait for the mid-cycle refresh. I'm sure they'll finally add things like HUD and the new touchpad etc in a year or two more.

Hopefully the facelift will address some of the build quality issues. Some better interior trim pieces and better NVH control would go a long way with the CLA. Hopefully the ride has been fixed if I undersand it right that the sport package has been made optional.

The B Class now offers 12 ambient colors. (This also goes for the next year CLA). Green makes me happy, always thought the S Class should have it. (Note: There are only 11 colors shown. I don't know their individual names).

Interior goes to the B, exterior it's a toss up, neither are all that attractive. Overall I'd go with the Golf Sportvan.
